Qusti, S.Y. and El-Sawi, N.M. 2007. Effect ofNigella sativa L. oil on roridin E toxin administration on h e r of male mice. J. Appl. Anim. Res., To study the effect of Nigella sativa L Oil (N.S.) on mice given roridin E toxin, 30 albino mice were divided i n 3 equal groups. Control group mice were given only the carrier of roridin E. Second group mice were given roridin E (2 m g l k g bw). Third group mice were given toxin as in group 2 but were given 800mgl kg bw of NS oil additionally. Liver tissue and blood serum analysis indicated that lipid peroxidation parameters were increased by toxin but N S oil brought these to normal level. Thus N S oil a s antidote to rordin E toxicity is demonstrated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
