One of the main sources of knowledge in the web is the social networks and especially online communitie because they contain human experiences which are considered as a rich source of information. This knowledge is in the most cases unstructured and is in the form of discussions organized generally by topics. The aim of this paper is to propose a process of knowledge extraction and Management in Online or Virtual Communities. With the widespread of communities in social media due to the services provided by those technologies, many of those communities are in the form of Learning communities created by expert to share knowledge about a topic of their interest. The knowledge shared by members in the online communities is unfortunately not structured and not capitalized. Many members try to access and learn from the shared knowledge in the community but cannot benefit from it due to its unstructured form. If that knowledge could be represented and stored in order to be reused, it would facilitate the knowledge acquisition by members. For this purpose, the present paper try to analyze the studies that treat the question of extracting and managing knowledge in Online Learning Communities based on several criteria exposed all along this paper. Then we propose a framework for managing knowledge in Virtual Learning communities inspired from the different previous frameworks presented in the analyzed studies, and try to propose and approach to overpass the different challenges present in the actual knowledge Management processes of Virtual Communities.
Abstract-The modelling of the user profile and its integration into the search process is an effective way in personalized information search within a repository of educational digital resources. Therefore, it raises gradually the issue concerning the dynamic development of this profile so as the information requester sets up queries. In our approach presented in this paper, we propose two models for personalized search on digital educational resources. The first is to establish an index of repository resources while the second is to build the user profile and boost its evolution after each query submitted by the user based on a classical Bayesian network representing a search activity.
The learning process has always been a privileged appeal for individuals to improve their knowledge and skills to enable them to become more productive and contribute to the sustainable development of society. However, poverty in most African countries generally, hampers the implementation of the learning process-face. These prove to be expensive when considering the cost of construction of facilities, teaching materials and also paying the teachers for tracking learners and contents production. To overcome the various constraints (personal, social and pedagogic) that impede the classical process of learning, we propose to use an open d-learning system. It is a learning system that relies largely on contents 2.0 produced by researchers and experts and open content (open archives and open journal). Digital libraries can provide our system with a favorable environment in order to engage learners, motivate them and orientate them along their researches. Pedagogy and technology go together in this system to provide a quality learning environment. Indeed, management systems for the content of the company ECM provide an environment capable of managing the content despite their diversity and dispersal in several servers. The recommended pedagogy is the one which is active and constructive centered on the learner. An open d-learning plays an important role for the promotion of human development and thereby ensures the progress and changes in developing countries. The proposed system deals with an open generic and modular design to meet scalability of content and learning services always evolving. It allows access through several data -processing objects in the first level. The second one provides different learning services such as exercises, assessments, conducting practical work or projects. An intermediate level has been proposed to capitalize and gather the free content on the web identified as being useful for learning to enable their re-use and their sustainability. Finally, the fourth level which is in the form of an educational heritage consists of a free content but rich and varied. Such a system would be able to offer new opportunities for the countries in the process of development to guarantee human development and to become thus more competing at the era of globalization and the emergent technological development.
Abstract-Managing knowledge and skills of an enterprise in the era of social and collaborative web has increased the difficulty of the process previously known in the field of KM. besides this, in the era of globalization on the one hand and the economic crisis on the other hand, the companies become increasingly competitive and the employees must be more qualified but also polyvalent. Therefore, company need more then even before to provide tools to employees to become able to create, share, distribute and re-use knowledge and skills. New opportunities for content management enterprise processes associated with distance learning offer a better alternative to processing, sharing and dissemination of tacit and explicit knowledge.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
