Dilemmas in recruiting respondents

‘What’s in it for me?’ is a crucial question that must be answered when recruiting participants for research. What do respondents expect in return for participating and what are the dilemmas that are faced in this phase of research? In this paper we address the issues that arise at this stage of research.
