North Gresik Coastal has a solid activity both in terms of industry, agriculture, and activities in the marine sector. This study aims to examine changes in shoreline patterns based on the characteristics of bottom water sediments. The method used in this research is purposive sampling method with descriptive analysis that is associated with hydro-oceanographic data such as current, tidal, and wave data. Then for taking sediment data is taken by determining 3 stations with 15 points / stations (estuary, waters around the coast, and sea). The sediment distribution from stations 1-3 on the northern coastal area of Gresik is dominated by silt, which is 78.193% and sand only dominates around station 3, which is 98.447%. The hydro-oceanographic factor greatly influences the distribution and characteristics of sediments, and in handling them. Results of changes in coastline from 2014 2018 it's the highest average abrasion rate occurred in Tanjung Widoro Village, Sub-district Bungah is 0.053 km/ 5years and the highest accretion rate is found in Manyarejo Village, Sub-district Manyar is 0.622 km/5years.
