Application of 1,2-Bis(2-bromo-3,5-di-t-butylphenyl)ethane to the Preparation of Compounds Having Two Diphosphene Units.-Reaction of the dibromide (I) with phenyllithium gives the homo-coupling product (II), which on lithiation with BuLi followed by addition of PCl3 affords the bis-dichlorophosphino compound (III).
