The long-postulated reactive intermediates of polar fluoride-inititated trifluoromethylations with Me(3)SiCF(3) (see scheme) were identified by NMR spectroscopy as [Me(3)Si(CF(3))F](-) and [Me(3)Si(CF(3))(2)](-)(.)
Tris(trifluormethyl)(triphenylphosphan)palladat(II) und —platinat(II), [M(CF3)3(PPh3)]—, und die Tetrakis(trifluormethyl)metallate(II), [M(CF3)4]2— (M = Pd, Pt), entstehen bei den Reaktionen von [MCl2(PPh3)2] mit Me3SiCF3 / [Me4N]F oder mit [I(CF3)2]—‐Salzen in guten Ausbeuten. [Me4N][M(CF3)3(PPh3)] kristallisieren isotyp in der orthorhombischen Raumgruppe Pnma (Nr. 62) mit Z = 4. Die NMR‐Spektren der neuen Verbindungen werden beschrieben.
