The comparative morphology and anatomy of leaves in the serpentine endemic <i>Aster hispidus</i> Thunb. var. <i>leptocladus</i> (Makino) Okuyama and its close relative <i>A. hispidus</i> var. <i>hispidus</i> were examined. Our morphological analysis revealed that the leaves of <i>A. hispidus</i> var. <i>leptocladus</i> were significantly smaller and narrower than those of <i>A. hispidus</i> var. <i>hispidus</i>. In particular, our anatomical analysis indicated that a decreased cell number of the horizontal axis of a leaf was involved in <i>A. hispidus</i> var. <i>leptocladus</i>. This was the same process as the changing pattern of the leaves of rheophytic species, and so, similar morphological leaf modifications occurred under different selection pressures of the serpentine soil and flooding frequency of river-stream
The present study aimed to estimate the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in schoolgoing children. Both Iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia have considerable adverse effect on human health. Among the different negative health concerns, including stunt development, less developed immunity, lower IQ level, no proper physical work capacity, more fatigue, maternal mortality rates, young ones born with low birth weight, birth complications and infant mortality rates are some of the remarkable health concerns posed by iron deficiency level. Our study sample was consisting of 420 school age children of both genders. The blood samples were collected in EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) tubes from different school and health maternity centres by trained and veteran persons. Questionnaires were utilised for the data collection, at the time of blood samples collection. Hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrite (Hct), Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), Mean Corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), white blood cell and red blood cell (RBC)were determine by automatic hematological analyzer model Symex Ks-21 having two reagents, cell pack and Stromatolyser-wwt 500 ml. The total percentage of anemia recorded in school age children was 34.0%. In tehsil Banda Daud Shah, the incidence of anemia was high up to 43.6% while in tehsil Takhti Nasrati and Karak was 32.1% and 26.4% respectively. The percentage was higher in girls (38.9%) than in boys (31.0%). The anemia percentage was recorded high (55.8%) in lower socioeconomic family children, than middle class (32.2%) and upper class (17%). The percentage of anemic children was also high (40%) in age group of 10 -12 years. Pale skin was the most common symptom of anemia.
Cibaliung Underground Gold Mine applies cut and fill mining method to optimize ore production and maintain underground stability. Existing 5 m × 5 m height and width of stope geometry has a potential new design to increase production of gold due to variety of thick ore, however serious shotcrete failures often occur in hanging wall decline. This paper aims to find out the relationship between stope design and stability of hanging wall decline. The analysis conducted in this study is based on underground characteristics and geological condition of Cibaliung area. The impact of stope design on decline stability was analyzed by using numerical methods. The impact factors such as different rock mass, size of stope, and distance between stope and hanging wall decline were used in the analysis of underground stability especially stability on hanging wall decline.
The X-ray crystal structures of C,C,N-triaryl-substituted imine compounds, which have methoxy or hydroxy group adjacent to the imino moiety, are reported and discussed in comparison with those of the precursor ketone compounds, 1-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-2,7-dimethoxynaphthalene and 1-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-2-hydroxy-7-methoxynaphthalene. In crystals, three aromatic rings in a molecule of the methyl ether-retained imine compound are positioned almost perpendicularly to each other by giving non-coplanar spatial organization of the single molecular structure [dihedral angles: 85.32(18)˚ for Clinked phenyl ring and naphthalene ring; 79.27(17)˚ for N-linked phenyl ring and naphthalene ring; 84.78(17)˚ for Clinked phenyl ring and N-linked phenyl ring]. Spatial organization of the analogous methyl ether-cleaved imine compound has essentially same topology [dihedral angles 80.39(6)˚ for the Clinked phenyl ring and naphthalene ring; 82.35(6)˚ for the N-linked phenyl ring and naphthalene ring; 87.09(7)˚ for C-and N-linked phenyl rings]. These structural features of triarylimines apparently differ from those of the precursor ketones. Two aromatic rings in the methyl ether-cleaved ketone compound make smaller dihedral angle [58.10(6)˚] by intramolecular hydrogen bond between ketonic carbonyl group and hydroxy group [2.5573(16) Å] than that of the methyl ether-retained ketone [72.06(7)˚]. In molecular packing, the methyl ether-retained imine forms tubular molecular alignments composed of R-S dimeric molecular pairs, whereas the methyl ether-retained ketone affords consecutively stacks of one configurated molecules.
We examine here the proposition that all multiparty quantum states can be made monogamous by considering positive integral powers of any quantum correlation measure. With Rajagopal-Rendell quantum deficit as the measure of quantum correlations for symmetric 3-qubit pure states, we illustrate that monogamy inequality is satisfied for higher powers of quantum deficit. We discuss the drawbacks of this inequality in quantification of correlations in the state. We also prove a monogamy inequality in higher powers of classical mutual information and bring out the fact that such inequality need not necessarily imply restricted shareability of correlations. We thus disprove the utility of higher powers of any correlation measure in establishing monogamous nature in multiparty quantum states.
