Pandemi yang terjadi pada saat sekarang ini menyebabkan terganggunya sektor pendidikan, tidak hanya di Indonesia tetapi juga seluruh belahan dunia. Sehingga Dinas Pendidikan Negara mengubah system pembelajaran yang awalnya secara tatap muka menjadi system pembelajaran Online. Penelitian ini, bermaksud agar dapat membantu tenaga pendidik untuk mengatasi sulitnya mencapai hasil yang maksimal dalam proses mengajar secara online pada saat pandemi ini. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan bahan ajar mata diklat bubut menjadi Video Tutorialmodel pembelajaran Hybrid Learning di SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Model Pembelajaran Hybrid Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang dirancang dengan cara memadukan antara pembelajaran tatap muka dengan pembelajaran online yang menggunakan teknologi komputer dan internet. Pengembangan bahan ajar menjadi Video Tutorial pada penelitian ini mengikuti model pembelajaran ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis, desain, development, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu data kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa angket/kuisioner yang didapat dari dua orang dosen Teknik Mesin sebagai ahli materi dan ahli media, satu orang guru mata diklat bubut SMK Negeri 1 dan 72 orang siswa. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu uji validitas dari ahli materi diperoleh persentase skor 86% dan dari ahli media diperoleh persentase skor 96%, sedangkan uji praktisitas dari guru mata pelajaran diperoleh persentase skor 86% dan dari peserta didik diperoleh persentase skor 88%. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dari pengembangan bahan ajar menjadi Video Tutorial sangat layak untuk digunakan pada mata diklat bubut di SMK Negeri 1 Padang.
The problem faced by Indonesia in 2017-2018 is the lack of food production which resulted in Indonesia having to import rice from neighboring countries. The low food productivity, especially rice, is due to the large number of shifts from paddy fields to oil palm and others. To boost interest and productivity in the field of rice farming, it is necessary to have innovation and special attention from all parties towards rice farming. In this service activity, the service team innovated the rice thresher machine. This innovation is in the form of adding aisles on the threshing machine. The function of this blowing tunnel is to streamline the threshing process that is able to effectively separate filled and empty rice. The method used in this service is survey and demonstration. The survey method is used to see farmers’ problems in real terms. While the demonstration method is used to introduce technology and innovation to farmers in the process of threshing rice. Problems faced by farmers in the threshing process are a burden both in terms of cost and labor. To overcome this problem, the dedication team made a thresher machine that would be used by the target population in the Sungai Duo area of Sitiung District, Dharmasraya Regency. This activity was enthusiastically welcomed by farmers, especially farmer groups in the Sungai Duo area. Innovation in the threshing process is new and badly needed. With this activity it is hoped that the community will be helped in the process of threshing rice. The rice thresher machine with the blown aisle system is handed over to the kenagarian equipment which will then be managed for community use.
The Hipgampra farmer group has Gambir farming land. The problems that occur in this farmer group have not had a press tool, usually, this farmer group rents gambir leaf processing equipment privately and must pay rent wages which are worth one-third of the proceeds of the sale. Through this service activity, the team wanted to overcome the problem by giving a press tool to process gambir leaves. The purpose of the implementation of this service activity is to provide a solution to the problems faced by gambier women in the process of pressing gambier leaves. The method of applying science and technology carried out in this activity is to provide introductory theories, demonstrations, and practices. The introductory theory is applicable, namely the introduction of tools, how to use them, their functions and application applications in the field. The realization of service to the community of Kenagarian Lampanjang Sutera Pesisir Selatan Subdistrict was held on October 6, 2018. The equipment that was handed over to the community of Kenagarian Lampanjang Subdistrict, Sutera in the form of a unit of a Gambir leaf impact system. Application of appropriate technology that is applied to gambir leaf processing must be adjusted to the productivity of harvested gambier leaves. The number of gambir leaves that can be harvested by gambier farmers will adjust the capacity of the gambir leaf press to be processed. The tool that is devoted to the community has a forging foundation that functions as a place for gambir leaves to be pressed and has a jack stand that will press the gambir leaves to the foundation so that the sap of gambier will come out.
The strength of the welding result is strongly influenced by several factors, one of which is the selection of high current. This study aims to determine the effect of high current of welding on the strength of low carbon steel welding joints. The process of welding the material uses the open V seam connection type. The variations of the high current used were 80 A, 100 A and 130 A. The specimen used was a carbon steel plate with code of 1.0038 with thickness of 8 mm and the electrode used was the E7018 electrode with diameter of 3.2 mm. The strength of the welding results is influenced by arc voltage, amount of current, welding speed, amount of penetration and electric polarity. Determination of the amount of current in metal joints using arc welding affects the work efficiency and welding materials. Based on the research, it was found that welding using high current of 100 ampere produced the highest tensile strength value of all test specimens that were given welding treatment and good penetration results.
This study aims to evaluate whether virtual reality (VR) learning media can be used in Machining Technology courses which are practical learning but implemented virtually. The research using the Stake Countenance evaluation method was carried out at the Department of Mechanical Engineering FT-UNP in the July-December 2021 semester with 60 students as research subjects. This study was mix method by using sequential explanatory design. which is the collection of quantitative and qualitative data that is carried out sequentially. Data related to the antecedents, transaction, and outcomes phases were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The research begins with developing VR media that is implemented to learning materials in the field of Machining Technology and then applied to learning. Then first stage is carried out using quantitative then the next stage or the second stage is carried out using qualitative. The result of research showed that this VR application can help students understand the theory of introducing machine tool operations but have not been able to run machine. This study imply that students’ learning process should be enjoyable and also influence existing practices of Student-Centered Learning. The novelty of this study showed the evaluation result of technology, especially virtual reality can be implemented in the practice learning course, it can be reference for educator to consider implementing technology in practice learning.
