Unwanted remains, discarded residues, and byproduct materials that are not required by the initial user are known as wastes. In Ethiopia, improper solid waste management becomes endemic and it affects the health conditions, comforts, and freedom of town communities. Improper solid waste management can also adversely affect infrastructure damages, socioeconomic conditions, and environmental and health problems. So, awareness creation among the communities is necessary. The main objective of the study was to assess the management of existing solid waste activities and reverse logistic systems in Tepi town. The impacts of improper solid waste management were reduced through waste accumulation, transportation, recycling, and waste removal. Available pieces of information for the study were gathered from 450 near house places and 549 survivals. The collected data were analyzed by using Vensim system dynamics software, and the obtained results were modeled by a system dynamic cause and effect relationship diagram. Finally, the appropriate recommendations for communities, municipals, and institutions were provided.
Chemicals from Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) have become much more prevalent in the environment in recent years. The effects of these substances on human health and the environment are frequently debatable because they typically have poorly understood mechanisms of toxic action. For this reason, we set out to evaluate a binary mixture consisting of butylhydroxyanisole (BHA) and propylparaben (PPB), two approved additives that have been found in the environment and have a range of health-related effects. Based on our prior research, we chose an experimental model called Vero cells, kidney fibroblasts from the African green monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops), with high sensitivity in toxicology studies and ideal characteristics for the analysis of chemical compounds’ mechanisms of action. The experimental design includes a battery of tests using many complimentary biochemical and morphological biomarkers, the usefulness of which we have previously established. The outcomes demonstrated that the mixtures of BHA and PPB cause significant functional alterations brought on by osmotic imbalance, which are connected to irregularities in cell cycle progression, increases in ploidy, which included cell cycle imbalances as well as increases in proliferation. On the other hand, we have been able to show that the quantitative estimate of the anticipated cellular responses generally does not adjust precisely to the observed effect through the analysis of the prediction of the combined effect using mathematical models. However, once the individual compounds’ respective mechanisms of action have been established, the toxicity caused by the mixtures can be qualitatively predicted.
The structures of the families of fuzzy sets that arise out of various notions of openness and closeness in a double fuzzy topological space are explored. This research is to present a new portion of space (Double-connected intuitionistic space) in Double intuitionistic topological spaces. Through these concepts, we advance some of their characteristics and relate to themselves.
As online shopping has expanded, product recommendations on e-commerce websites have gained significance. Systems for recommending products use information about site navigation and user leave-over to suggest more products. Customers who use a product recommendation system choose better and find items more quickly. On e-commerce websites, collaborative and content-based filtering is used in product suggestion algorithms. Collaborative filtering is driven by user preference similarity and content-based filtering. While content-based filtering groups are related to products, collaboration groups are like-minded individuals. In collaborative filtering, users with similar user profiles are used during the proposal phase; in content-based filtering, users with similar product profiles are found and recommended. These techniques cannot deliver complex commodities and have slow start-up times and small element sets. Users can push the same product if they only like certain things, but they cannot recommend a new product or user who just joined the system because they are not a group member. These approaches cannot capture complex semantic relationships, making them inadequate for recommending complex products. Recent research has focused on incorporating the domain ontology into the proposition process to create a more precise and helpful suggestion. The relational qualities of the product are not covered in this study, only its category and features are. Actually, the ontology of the proposed product should be included in the suggestion system. Relational data is integrated into the recommendation engine in this study using domain ontologies. This was done to research books that people had recommended. Relational data from an online bookseller was used to test the proposed infrastructure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
