The purpose of the research is to investigate the lecturers' adaptability to curriculum innovation and its impact on the fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training. In order to adapt to curriculum reform, teachers must be prepared for their own role in curriculum design and implementation, aware of program changes and values. teaching in the direction of developing learners' capacity; skills to practice student-centered teaching strategies. The adaptation of teachers to curriculum innovation depends on the teachers themselves and the policy context of each school. Research methods are mixed methods combining qualitative and quantitative. Main data is from questionnaires provided to the trainers. Measures of data collection according to 3 aspects on the adaptability of lecturers to curriculum innovation. The results show that 651 respondents can adapt to a medium level, most of the lecturers are ready to adapt to the curriculum innovation. Some teachers have tried to actively self-study and develop professional competence.
There are many theoretical and empirical studies on the development of communication skills in various target groups. However, there is the lack of research on the development of communication skills in literature high secondary education from the management sciences perspective. This paper applies the systems theory, social constructivism and management behavior approache to study the development of communication skills including literature reading, writing, listening, speaking and skills of communication with teachers, class-mates, family members and others as well as skills of using internet – connected mass media. The paper also use survey method to collect data from the non-random sample of students of a high secondary school in Hanoi in order to explore the school management behavior and the students’ the development of communication school in literature education. The research findings tend to recommend management measures such as the teachers’ active listening to students, the creating favorable opportunities for students to communicate and self – actualize in literature class and the assessment for the student’s progress in literature capacities and communication skills.
In the trend of innovation and autonomy in higher education, curriculum development plays an important role for each university to affirm its quality and position. This paper argues that a new meaning for undergraduate Curriculum must be developed to reflect the University's autonomy, and ensure efficiency. This will require renewed discussion about many aspects of curriculum in higher education, from theory to practice. With that meaning, this paper also reflects the result of a study on the curriculum development of the University of Education (UED) - one of the member unit of Hanoi National University (VNU), in order to assess the degree of autonomy and effectiveness of the curriculum and proposing solutions to ensure the quality of training, realize the vision and mission of the University.
The quality of educators is a crucial foundation, which partly plays a decisive role in determining the quality and effectiveness of pedagogical activities and improving the eduational quality to meet the requirement of the General Education Program 2018. The research assesses the quality of teachers based on survey data of a sample collection of 651 teachers from three provinces including Hanoi, Nghe An, and Can Tho; focuses on analyzing the quality of educators according to teacher quality criteria to meet the General Education Program 2018. The result shows that most teachers (62.4%) self-assessed the quality of teachers at the level one “fully folowing requirement”, level two (19.7%) “actively implementing requirement”, level three (6.8%) “being an example for others”, level four (8%) “sharing experiences and creating new style to behave” and level five (3.2%) “training others”. The study also showed a statistically significant correlation between teachers' quality and their demographic characteristics such as age, gender, years of experience. However, the technical expertise and educational levels may insignificantly correlate with the teachers’ quality. This means that the teachers’ quality should be improved to successfully implement the Genereal Education Program 2018.
