I Ketut Widianta is a Balinese musical artist who specializes in single drum and at the same time has a unique teaching method. This research is very important to do, considering that I Ketut Widianta has a teaching method that is very different from other single kendang teachers. The purpose of this study is to reveal how his teaching methods, from the usual and unusual teaching methods. This research will be analyzed with qualitative descriptive methods, where the implementation uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results achieved from this study were the discovery of two teaching techniques possessed by I Ketut Widianta, namely the usual and unusual teaching techniques. His usual teaching technique was to divide the teaching class into several majors, while the unusual teaching technique was applied by telling his students to hit the unfinished drum.
Gending sekati ririg cenik as one of the five gending sekati which has its own characteristics or uniqueness that can be seen from the arrangement of notes to the formation of a melody and several types of blows that exist in this gending. Melody and gagebug are musical elements that have an important role in shaping the atmosphere and character of a musical work. This study aims to describe and analyze the melody and gagebug in gending sekati ririg cenik. So that a problem can be formulated, namely how is the structure of the melody and gagebug gending sekati ririg cenik in the traditional village of Tejakula? This research is a type of qualitative research using several data collection techniques namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are expected to be able to provide information and understanding related to the melody of gending sekati ririg cenik in the traditional village of Tejakula, Buleleng regency.
