The work aimed to study the culinary habits and perceptions about the food culture of Northeastern and Northeastern origin living in the state of Rio de Janeiro through an online questionnaire with 24 questions, which was answered by 37 people. Aspects such as the use of typical ingredients and the preparation of typical dishes and drinks from their region at home were researched, as well as perceptions about habits that strengthen their food culture and sharing the teachings of Northeastern recipes with other people. The research results showed that part of these people maintain their original eating habits, pointing to a bond between the population studied and their culture, in addition to the pride of the interviewees regarding their origins.
