Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesulitan dan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal dimensi tiga ditinjau dari tingkat pemahaman siswa kelas XII MAN 2 Pesisir Selatan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 siswa kelas XII IPA 3 yang di pilih secara purposive sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Siswa dengan tingkat pemahaman tinggi tidak mengalami kesulitan saat menyelesaikan soal. Seluruh indikator pemahaman sudah tercapai dan termasuk dalam tipe kesulitan tingkat rendah. Siswa dengan tingkat pemahaman sedang mengalami kesulitan pada indikator ketiga dan kelima termasuk dalam tipe kesulitan tingkat sedang. Hasil wawancara diperoleh bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal karena kurang teliti dalam langkah-langkah pengerjaannya, sulit mengaitkan berbagai konsep dan berimajinasi. Pada siswa dengan tingkat pemahaman rendah mengalami kesulitan pada semua indikator kecuali pada indikator kedua dan ini termasuk dalam tipe kesulitan tingkat tinggi.
Abstract This research aims to improve the student’s learning achivements and motivation in learning analityc geometry of mathematic education’s students at Bung Hatta University by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy. This was a classroom action research with the research study was 38 of class A of mathematic education’s students who took a course of analityc geometry. The data was collected from quisioner student’s, field notes and final test. The data analysis was conducted in descriptive qualitative through data reduction, triangulation, and data display. Based on the research’s result can conclude that learning process by using CTL strategy can improve motivation and learning outcome in Field Analityc Geometry Class. The questioner of student’s learningmotivation showed that there are improving from 54,97 % on the cycle to 66,31 % on the cycle.The student’s learning result also improved from 24,32 % on the cycle to 70,27 % on the cycle. This study aims to analyze the exploration of ethnomathematics for basic information in the development of ethnomathematics science. The method of research that is carried out in an interview through a questionnaire and the data processed by the analysis of the taxonomy. A taxonomic analysis is carried out to make a category of cultural symbols that exist in culture were investigated. The object of research is how the shape of the room from the Rumah Gadang. From the analysis of data obtained Kenagarian that exist in the District of Solok South Most large house sieve which has a pavilion of 88.89% and shaped square-length, which has a bridge usual at Rumah Gadang amounted to 77.78% and which has a bridgerise amounted to 7.4 %. Rumah Gadang has a room/room because the room/room is a place of privacy for the community both those who are married or not, so 88, 89 % of the Rumah Gadang have a room/room. And the number of booths/rooms vary depending on the house sieve of 40, 74 %, amounted to prima 37.04%, and amounted to even 11.11%
