Change changes the change if you don't adopt change. Since the conception of CSR the amount of research carried on by the academicians is tremendous and laudable. The academic research has undoubtedly contributed in terms of importance of CSR and practices of CSR to the corporate world. In the present research paper an attempt is made to propose a new model on CSR, i.e.; Universal Model of CSR. The proposed model has portrayed itself in such way that it easily cross over the criticism made on Carroll's Pyramid model of CSR by justifying its model suiting to the present context.
In these days of competition, to be unique in the market the organizations are using many strategies. To design and execute any strategy the organizations needs talented employees.To facilitate the pooling of employees into an organization "employer branding practices" plays a critical role. In the process of attracting the right talent at right time for right job has become immensely important. The human resources management departments have no doubt occupying the fore front in the business organizations of today; yet it has to leave its impact through communicating the employer branding practices properly in an effective way.The present research paper deals with Saudi Arabian Banking Sector where in which the authors have made an attempt to find the practices of employer branding available or not from the human resource management perspective.The research is timely for the reason that Saudi Arabia is implementing "Nitaqat" (a step by step process to encourage local's employment (the Saudi employment market comprises around 40% of expatriate employees). The companies are on toes to recruit Saudi nationals; the availability of skilled and talented Saudis is less. Therefore there is a need for employer branding practices. ISSN 1941-899X 2017 www.macrothink.org/jmr 32 The data collected from thirteen banks operating in Saudi Arabia and appropriate tools of statistics used to analyze the data and arrive to a conclusion. Journal of Management ResearchFrom the literature review it is found that academically unanimously it is agreed that employer branding practices will help in attracting and retaining the talent, but the actual practices of employer branding are either not recorded or properly planned. From the research it is found that definitely there is a need for employer branding practices in Saudi Arabian banking sector too.
<p>In today’s business “Innovation” is a buzzword; business people can’t live without it. Innovation management as such has recently gained much attention from the academic researchers, industry and the governments of the different countries; because of its functionality in sustaining the organizations, its growth as well to enjoy a competitive edge.</p><p>The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia even today is looked upon as a mere crude oil supplier by the outside world. Saudi Arabia made significant changes in its development in all the fields including business. The country now made a mark as one of the emerging and fast developing nations in the world.</p><p>The country which has been very popular in mere trade and which is striving to establish its stance in business would be good example for academic interest to investigate empirically as to what type of practices of innovation exists in its all legal forms of business organizations of Saudi Arabia and also to have an over view of innovation scenario in Saudi Arabia businesses.</p><p>The Research carried on through an empirical study designed for the purpose. One hundred business organization of all types (Eg: Public, Private, Semi-government, Partnership firms, etc.) were chosen randomly. From each organization two respondents were chosen totaling to the sample size of two hundred.</p><p>Since the main objective of the research is to find the practices of innovation in Saudi Arabian business organizations a few practices were asked to the respondents through the structured questionnaire to know the level of perceptions of the respondents on a Likert’s five point scale. At the outset the results are promising in Saudi Arabia, the business organizations are paving the way for innovation in their businesses. Within the study when compared with the practices it is found that practices touching upon teams and team work are measuring low. Regarding the types of innovation there is mixed results.</p><p>Probably this is the first empirical study in Saudi Arabia which has made an attempt to enquire into innovation practices through an exhaustive but a simple study.</p><p> </p>
