Despite the importance of discipline Chemistry, there are many difficulties for the student to be able to relate their concepts with their practical experimental. Based on the importance of Bachelard´s fenomenotechnique and experimental activities in the teaching of chemistry, an activity with experimental measurements of electrical conductivity using a portable conductivimeter in classroom was proposed for a better understanding of chemical concepts and phenomena. The work described also aims to demonstrate to high school students that the use of measurement instruments in chemistry is very common nowadays. The proposed activity involving experimental measurements of electrical conductivity of aqueous solutions was developed for a class of high school second year in a state school at Dourados – MS. The analysis of the proposed activity was done by records through audio recordings, a field diary and a questionnaire answered by the students in order to verify the learning. The main conclusion of the study was that the conductivimeter used helped students understand the concept of conductivity because their answers in the questionnaire showed that they got to correlate the concept with the theory based on the analysis of data obtained in the experimental activity.
This work presents the results of a case study done with undergraduate degree students in chemistry and other courses at Mato Grosso do Sul State University (UEMS), in the years 2010 and 2011 of Chemistry subproject of Institutional Scholarship Program for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID). The central question of the research was "Has PIBID influenced the initial training of academics that entered the program? à Theà esea hà hi hà optedà fo à theà se istructured interview technique to verify its assumptions about teaching practice and also about the program. It was possible to verify that the program plays an important role in the academic professional training of undergraduate students. The students acquired awareness of the how importance of always be looking for different resources and instructional materials and methodologies to enhance the teaching and the learning processes of high school students.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
