Low-cost housing is spread all over Egypt from the north to the upper, many issues appeared on the horizon, such as high maintenance costs, high levels of energy consumption, and the emergence of many practices for residents of these units in an attempt to adapt between their needs and the design of low buildings. One of the most important challenges impacting the quality of life is energy conservation. This paper aims to raise the quality of life in low-cost housing from the perspective of energy conservation. The research aims to ensure enough sustainable energy to maintain a quality of life. This study is based on questionnaires conducted by residents of low-cost houses projects in Egypt, namely; Mokattem and New Cairo. Trying to find the most important problem and put forward ways to improve and raise the quality of life, especially from the perspective of energy conservation.
