Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb) and is still a major health problem in the world. Immunity against tuberculosis is very complex because it involves almost all components of the immune system. One of the cells that are responsible for cell-mediated immunity are lymphocytes, especially T helper lymphocytes are divided into Th1 (proinflammatory cytokines IFN-?) and Th2 (anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4). EC610 fusion antigens (ESAT-6-CFP-10) is a peptide containing a specific antigen M.tb. Order to determine the differences between the secretion of IFN-? and IL-4 after stimulation EC610 fusion antigens (ESAT-6-CFP-10) in patients with active pulmonary TB and latent TB.Research with a quasi-experimental design in laboratory in vitro in patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis group of 21 samples and 28 samples of latent TB. Venous blood sampling in vitro anticoagulants heparin and PBMCs isolated using a Ficoll-Paque ™, then cultured with antigen fusion EC610 for 24-72 hours with a CO2 incubator at a temperature of 370 C. The levels of IFN-? and IL-4 by ELISA method. Statistical analysis with alternative test non-parametric Mann Whitney.IFN-? secretion in patients with active pulmonary TB group (6700 pg / ml) was higher than the latent (6000 pg / ml) after stimulation by antigen fusion EC610, but not significant (p = 0.769). While the secretion of IL-4 levels (180 and 60 pg / ml) there was a significant difference between the groups (p = 0.000).
Background. COVID-19 infection, both moderate and severe symptoms can cause pneumonia that can be detected on a chest X-ray. Along with the increasing severity of the clinical picture of COVID 19, it can also trigger a cytokine storm, one of which is an increase in Interleukin-6 levels. This study was conducted to see the correlation between IL-6 levels with clinical features and chest radiographs in patients with COVID-19 Methods. This research is a cross-sectional study using an observational analytic. The samples in this study were confirmed COVID-19 patients who were being treated at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang. A history and physical examination were performed to determine the clinical picture as well as a chest X-ray and IL-6 levels. Results. There were 31 samples of COVID 19 patients. High levels of IL-6 were found in 26 (83.9%) samples. The clinical picture of the patient was dominated by dyspnea as much as 19 (61.3%), fever 16 (5.6%), low O2 saturation 12 (38.4%) and a chest X-ray of pneumonia 26 (83.9%). There was a significant relationship (P<0.05) between IL-6 levels with clinical features and chest X-rays. The R-value on the thorax with pneumonia (0.692), lesion area (0.711) and clinical features with temperature (0.906), respiratory rate (0.706) indicated a strong correlation, while O2 (-0.732) indicated a strong negative correlation. Conclusion. There is a significantly strong correlation between Interleukin 6 levels with clinical features and chest X-rays in patients with COVID-19.

Decrease in muscle mass, muscle strength and physical performance will cause a condition of sarcopenia and frailty syndrome in the elderly. The importance of prevention so that sarcopenia does not occur in the elderly by evaluating the factors that can cause it, one of which is controlling interleukin 6 (IL-6) as proinflammatory. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between serum IL-6 levels with muscle mass, muscle strength and physical performance in the elderly gymnastics-community in Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang. Methods. This research is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach which was conducted at the Integrated Geriatric Clinic Internal Medicine RSMH Palembang from November 2019 to November 2020. A sample of 31 people aged > 60 years was examined for muscle mass, muscle strength, physical performance and IL-levels. 6 serum. All data processing and analysis in this study used the SPSS version 25 for Windows program. Results. of the 31 subjects, 27 were female (87.1%) and 4 male (12.9%). The mean value of muscle mass is37.9 kg/m2, muscle strength 23 kg, and physical performance 6.1 m/sec.There were 28 (90.3%) samples with elevated serum IL-6 levels, while 3 (9.7%) samples had normal levels. There was a significant negative correlation (p = 0.000) with a strong correlation strength (r = -0.722) between serum IL-6 levels and muscle mass and a significant negative correlation (p = 0.050) with a weak correlation strength (r = -0.354) between IL levels -6 serums with physical performance. Conclusions. There was a significant negative correlation between serum IL-6 levels and muscle mass and physical performance. So, it is very important to prevent an increase in serum IL-6 levels so that the elderly do not fall into a state of sarcopenia.

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) held is tutoring activities. This tutoring activity is expected to improve students' skills, especially in the ability to read, write, count and basic English so that it affects student learning outcomes. This tutoring program focuses on students who are lacking in academic abilities, the limited support activities provided such as the absence of tutoring in the village and the lack of educators in schools. This tutoring is carried out outside of school hours and is carried out three times a week, namely Monday, Tuesday and Saturday. The method used is the Participatory Action Research method consisting of knowing (knowing the problem with observations and interviews), understanding (understanding the problems that exist in school), planning (making activity plans), acting (implementing tutoring activities) and reflecting (reflecting). This activity is the interest and results of reading, writing, arithmetic and understanding related to the basics of english.
