Routine tongue movement therapy with nerve tip stimulation can be used as a therapeutic aid for patients for stroke, dysphasia and sleep apnea. In this initial research, the design of the Tongue Pressure Training System (LTL) will be designed using an LTL tool designed using a Force Sensing Resistor (FSR) pressure sensor to facilitate tongue exercise movements consisting of Tongue Force, Tongue Slide, and Tongue Press. A selection of types of tongue exercise movements, guides and results of tongue movement exercises performed will be displayed on the smartphone application. The results obtained from this study are the LTL system which is realized from the reading of the pressure sensor value on the smartphone display, there is an average delay of 1 second so that there is a large difference in pressure readings on Arduino and smartphones. The amount of tongue pressure when performing Tongue Force, Tongue Slide, and Tongue Press movements has a pressure reading value of 0-700 Gram-force. In the Tongue Slide Movement, there is a change in the amount of pressure on sensor-1 and sensor-2, because the movement requires the tongue to move. In contrast to the Tongue Press and Tounge Force movements which focus more on pressure in sensor-1.
Abstract:Electronic devices have become a part of human life today that can not be ignored. Community Service Program conducted by Prodi Electrical Engineering, Maranatha Christian University aims to increase knowledge, increase interest, form the ability of cooperation, improve creativity and improve the fighting power of high school students on the operation of electronic devices, in the form of arduino programming training .Arduino is an open source electronic kit specifically designed as a controller that regulates the working process of electronic circuits. The method used in this PKM is Participatory Action Research (PAR) in the form of lecture method to describe the material that has been prepared by PKM team, the method of practice in the form of Arduino programming and assembling the electronic component connected with Arduino, the method of mentoring when the students do the programming and stringing electronic components, and discussion methods in the form of inter-group cooperation to solve the case given. The results of this training can be a provision for high school students in the form of programming skills, the ability to assemble electronic components, the ability to work with groups to solve existing problems, and increase confidence in designing and operating electronic devices
The current accidents in road increase caused by driver's negligence. There are several reasons, that is fatigue, drowsiness, not concentration, and others. One of the drowsiness detectors is through the blinking of an eye. In normal people the blinking of the eye is 10 per minute, whereas in people who are sleepy eye blinks below 10 per minute. In this research we proposed the modified algorithm to have eye aspect ratio value. Experimental data are taken from video with 30 frames per second. Experiments were performed in the laboratory with driver simulation tools. Data are taken for 105 minutes and given the load test so that the driver will experience fatigue while driving. Keywords-modified of eye aspect ratio; drowsiness; blinking rate, , = / (2)
The number of Indonesian women entrepreneurs is increasing, including women entrepreneurs in West Java. But the obstacles faced include not getting an education to do marketing; one solution is marketing using online media. This was overcome through online marketing literacy for women entrepreneurs, especially in West Java. Electrical Engineering Study Program, Universitas Kristen Maranatha in collaboration with the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Office of West Java Province and Online partner has increased capacity in the form of online media use literacy. The method used was Participatory Action Research, namely participants were given lectures, training, practices, discussions, and questionnaires directly. The Participatory Action Research is a step in a community or social group scientifically resolves their problem by conducting direction, improvement, and evaluating decisions on the steps they take. There are six steps in Participatory Action Research, namely critical reflection, critical dialectics, resource collaboration, risk awareness, plural structures, theory, practice, and transformation. From the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the participants' abilities improved from before the training. Participants felt that this workshop was very useful and useful, which was around 90%. This indicates that the workshop was successful and beneficial for the participants
