Emotional intelligence plays a very important role for a leader because it can help the effectiveness of coach leadership among trainees and can even guarantee the transfer of training that has been given to trainees. When there is a failure to curb this situation will have a more negative impact on organizations and individuals, and if it is not proactively addressed. Therefore, this study aims to identify the level and relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness among coaches. A total of 74 sets of questionnaires were distributed to respondents who have participated in the Transformation Program (Team Building) organized by XYZ training center on October 20, 2018 until October 22, 2018. Descriptive analysis shows the results of the study on emotional intelligence level and leadership effectiveness among coaches. While the correlation analysis proves that there is a significant relationship with r = 0.828 between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness among coaches. Thus, this study has shown that emotional intelligence has a significant relationship with leadership effectiveness among coaches.
In Malaysia, the research about workplace spirituality towards leadership effectiveness is rarely done. The workplace spirituality indicates the meaningful work, sense of community and alignment of values. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between workplace spirituality towards leadership effectiveness. There were three hypotheses that had been examined; meaningful works, sense of community and alignment of values. The research has been conducted to the volunteers at Civil Defense, Batu Pahat. This research has used the quantitative approach where the questionnaire has been distributed to 36 volunteers at Civil defense of Batu Pahat, Johor. Data has been collected has been analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 24.0. Based on the finding, there has been a significant relationship between workplaces spirituality and leadership effectiveness. The workplace spirituality has given a positive effect on the leadership effectiveness in Civil Defense of Batu Pahat, Johor. The data has been collected can helps civil defense and also the leader itself.
The Malaysian education sector is one of the cornerstones in producing high-quality graduates that fulfill the needs of today’s industries. Hence, having civil servants can achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) is crucial to ensure Malaysia is at its forefront especially in the higher education sector. Nevertheless, theunclear settings of KPIs could deter the University’s staff understanding of their role in realizing the goals. Therefore, this study sets to measure the level of the University’s current performance. Additionally, this study will propose University’s key performance raking based on Balanced Scorecard approach. Theinstrument used is a questionnaire that distributed to the target sample who hold positions as head of department in the main campus at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). These groups of target respondents are believed those who should demonstrate a good understanding of Universities’ KPIs. The resultshows that the University is in high performance and the learning and growth perspective of balanced scorecard need to improvise. Thus, this study will lead to a better management system and produces a high University performance.
