The combination of technology Augmented Reality (AR) with educational content aims to create new ideas that can improve the effectiveness and attractiveness of teaching and learning for students in real-life scenarios. The use of AR technology can make theprocess of teaching and learning more enjoyable, in which students' interest in learning can be stimulated. The AR technology has three characteristics. The first feature is that AR technology is a combination of virtual objects with the real world. The second feature is that AR operates in real time and interactively. The last feature is that it has 3 dimensions (3D) for virtual objects. In this study, the ADDIE model includes five phases, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation, which are utilised to develop applications based on AR technology in education for the topic of Current and Voltage Division. To identify the effectiveness of the application of AR technology, a survey using questionnaire was conducted among pre-serviceteachers to know their perceptions of the development of AR applications namely as Voltrent AR. As this is a quantitative study where questionnaires were distributed to 73 students from the class of Bachelor of Technology with Education (Electric and Electronics) with Honours and Bachelor of Technology with Education (Living Skills) with Honours at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Skudai, Johor. Most respondents gave very positive feedback on the use of AR in education, especially for the topic of Current and Voltage Division. AR is viewed as a medium of instruction that is innovative, interesting and effective. Voltrent AR application development is successfully developed based on the ADDIE model, and the application development of the constructivism theory was applied in this AR application. Thus, the AR application development has reached the desired objective of producing application-based Augmented Reality as a teaching aid.
One of the new subjects that has replaced the Integrated Life Skills (KH) subject starting January 2017 is Design and Technology (RBT), in which the curriculum is not divided into a mandatory and elective portion like KH subject. As a result, a variety of problems and barriers are encountered during the implementation of the new RBT curriculum, including the problem of inadequate facilities and equipment as well as teachers who lack innovation in how they provide the teaching and learning process. Therefore, this study was conducted to look at the problems, defects, and effectiveness of the unit for students utilising the CIPP assessment approach, which was specifically used in agriculture. Three secondary school teachers in Peninsula Malaysia's southern region with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and experience teaching RBT courses were interviewed for this study. The research approach employed was a semi-structured interview process. This study discovered that the information in this agriculture unit is excellent preparation for students taking the Form 3 Assessment. All respondents also agreed that the information in the RBT subject's agricultural system design unit is appropriate for the current distribution based on the most recent manpower requirements and application of technology in agriculture.
Autism is a spectral disorder where symptoms can be present in various combinations, from mild to severe. Autism can make it difficult for a child to communicate and interact with others. However, most individuals with autism are unemployed yet they need jobs to secure their future. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to review the evidence regarding generic skills for individuals with autism who possess skills in social skills, independent living skills, and cognitive skills in becoming employees. Information was searched from journals via the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia's (UTM) library website. The findings revealed social skills, independent living skills, and cognitive skills are related to generic skills for employability of autistic children. Hence, in-depth studies on skills of independent living and cognitive need to be expanded as skills are very important to prove they are capable of working.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
