The Dalihan Na Tolu is a system of kinship that originated from the Muslim Mandailing Batak tribe regulating the life of people. This study aims to identify the role of Dalihan Na Tolu values as the kinship system as the fundamental for Muslim Mandailing Batak nomads students’ meaning of life fulfillment. This qualitative study used the phenomenology design. In collecting the primary data, we used observation and interviews with two Muslim Mandailing Batak nomads students. At the same time, the secondary data were obtained from the parents, siblings, friends, neighbors, and teachers. The data validity was assessed using triangulation on the observation and interview data. Our analysis results suggested that the Muslim Mandailing Batak nomads students’ meaning of life can be observed through three fundamentals of the meaning of life, namely the creativity, belief, and bravery values. The creativity value consists of the Marsitukkol Tukkolan Songon Suhat Di Robean value (asking the siblings to be successful) and Annakon Ki Do Hamoraon Di Au value (vengeance in learning). The belief value subsists of the speech or manner values in talking with the elders and Tua Mi U Jujung-jujung Tilako Mi U Dege-dege (disseminating kindness and covering the evils). Lastly, the behavior value consists of the bravery value.Abstrak: Dalihan Na Tolu merupakan sistem kekerabatan suku Batak Mandailing Muslim dalam mengatur kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan nilai-nilai Dalihan Na Tolu sebagai sistem kekerabatan dapat menjadi dasar pemenuhan meaning of life siswa perantauan beretnis Batak Mandailing Muslim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara kepada dua orang siswa perantau beretnis Batak Mandailing Muslim sebagai sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder terdiri dari orang tua, saudara, teman, tetangga, dan guru. Pengecekan keabsahan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan triangulasi yang bersumber dari hasil wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan meaning of life siswa perantauan beretnis Batak Mandailing Muslim dapat dilihat dari tiga aspek sebagai landasan meaning of life, yaitu nilai kreatif, nilai keyakinan dan nilai keberanian. Nilai kreatif yang terdiri dari nilai Marsitukkol Tukkolan Songon Suhat Di Robean atau mengajak kerabat untuk sukses dan Annakon Ki Do Hamoraon Di Au atau bersungguh-sungguh dalam belajar. Nilai keyakinan yang terdiri dari nilai tutur atau bertata krama dengan orang tua dan Tua Mi U Jujung-jujung Tilako Mi U Dege-dege atau menyebarkan kebaikan dan menutup keburukan. Nilai sikap yang terdiri dari nilai keberanian.
Counselling practicum is essential to hone the skills and competencies needed. One competency to be had by the prospective counsellors is mind skills, which are metacognition skills to manage their thoughts to give adaptive responses and performance. This study aims to identify the effect of mind skills training on prospective counsellors’ performance. This study used a correlation research design to measure 50 prospective counsellors’ performance. The data result showed the variance of the mind skills and counselling performance scores. The Pearson analysis results showed significant correlations. Linear regression analysis showed that the mind skills had an effect and contributed to 12.5% of the prospective counsellors’ performance. The results showed that the mind skills (rules, perceptions, self-talk, visual images, explanation and expectations) had their role and function in leading counsellors on their best performance. The implication of these results for prospective counsellors’ education could include the mind skills training on the practicum course. This study investigates the empirical findings on the parenting effects on innovative migrant village children's confidence and academic achievement in Pati. This quasi-experimental research uses a non-equivalent control group design with a 2x2 factorial version. Its subjects were 75 children of Indonesian Migrant workers. The test and non-test data were obtained and analyzed using Manova statistics. Generally, the research results confirm that parenting carries substantial effects on children's confidence and academic achievement.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji temuan empirik tentang pengaruh pola asuh terhadap percaya diri dan prestasi belajar anak desmigratif (Desa Migra Inovatif) Pati. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini menggunakan desain non-equivalent control group versi faktorial 2 x 2. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 75 anak Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) dan Tenaga Kerja Wanita (TKW). Data diperoleh dengan tes dan non-tes, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik statistik Manova. Secara garis besar, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap percaya diri dan prestasi belajar anak.
<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Critical thinking skills are needed for the academic life of students at school and have a wider frame of reference. Improving critical thinking skills using an intervention in the form of a postmodern counseling approach, namely narrative counseling in which the values of local wisdom are internalized in the form of Madhura parebhasan. The purpose of this study was to validate the results of the development of narrative counseling products containing Parebhasan Madhura to improve students' critical thinking skills. The subjects involved in this study were 2 BK material experts, 1 media expert, 1 cultural expert, and 2 potential users who were high school BK teachers in the Madura area. This development uses the Akker development model and data analysis using the Aiken validity index. The overall results of this assessment will be a data series to obtain the acceptance and feasibility of the narrative counseling guidebook containing Madhura's parebhasan.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat dibutuhkan untuk kehidupan akademik siswa di sekolah dan memiliki kerangka acuan yang lebih luas. Peningkatan keterampilan berfikir kritis menggunakan intervensi berupa pendekatan konseling posmodern yaitu konseling naratif yang didalamnya diinternalisasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal berupa <em>parebhasan Madhura.</em> Tujuan penelitian ini adalah validasi hasil produk pengembangan konseling naratif bermuatan <em>Parebhasan Madhura </em>untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Subjek yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu dua ahli materi BK, satu ahli media, satu ahli budaya, dan dua calon pengguna yang merupakan guru BK SMA di wilayah Madura. Pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Akker dan analisis data menggunakan indeks validitas Aiken Hasil keseluruhan penilaian ini akan menjadi rangkaian data untuk memperoleh penerimaan dan kelayakan dari buku panduan konseling naratif bermuatan <em>parebhasan Madhura.</em>
Currently, guidance and counseling services have been widely carried out, especially at the junior and senior high school levels, while the implementation at the university level has not been widely carried out. This study aimed to identify the need for guidance and counseling services at higher education institutions in Indonesia. Meta-analysis was conducted to review articles found from several databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct. The articles used were articles published from 2016-2021. The keywords used to find suitable articles were colleges, students, guidance, and counseling services. The inclusion criteria for articles used were full text, Indonesian or English, published at least in the last 5 years, discussing guidance and counseling services, the research population includes college stakeholders, namely vice chancellors, faculty leaders, head of study program, lecturers and students, and the research carried out in Indonesia. The search results for articles were listed in the PRISMA diagram. The results of the search for articles were analyzed by identifying and linking research questions, results and discussions with theories that were relevant to the topic.
