The study empirically revealed the constructs that affect attitude of apps developers to comply with the Islamic Work Ethic in developing an Islamic mobile app. The Islamic Work Ethic (al-birr and Masuliyah) in this study was built based on the Mobile Apps Rating Scale (MARS) criteria, which are Engagement (EN), Functionality (FC), Aesthetics (AE) and Information (IN). This is mainly due to the lack of content authenticity and reliability, ideas in order to create interesting apps and the guidelines to the app's developer in developing mobile Islamic applications that comply with Work Ethics Islam. The experimental research design was deployed to validate the number of items of questions in the questionnaire. In this research, the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was conducted using SPSS. The empirical results showed four factor such as Engagement, Functionality, Aesthetic and information. Based on the findings of this study, it is hoped that it can attract the attention of apps’ developers to practice the Islamic Work Ethic when developing Islamic mobile apps in the future.
This research primarily seeks to identify the criteria of a successful student who is studying while working and developed a framework of guidelines on how to become a successful student for an individual who is studying while working with the criteria. A survey questionnaire collected the total data of 354 and the respondents were selected using convenience sampling. For the analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was employed to determine the correlation among the variables in a data set and provides a factor structure. The result showed that three main criteria of success student have been determined, namely as Academic Preparation, Individual Trait and Support System.
Lately, Malaysia is confronted with a low quality environment and the government needs to provide more efforts in alter strategies to minimize wastes. Universities bear a great responsibility in encouraging waste separation because a higher education institute campus has most of the similar characteristics as a city. This study aims to develop an index of waste separation practice among the UUM community in order to cultivate a green campus culture. With the method of systematic literature review, a conceptual model is developed and five factors that influence waste separation practice involved are identified in this study; attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, moral obligation and situational factor. Data were collected from the 1002 UUM community by using questionnaires and analysis was done by index development. The development of waste separation practice index presented in this study requires three main steps; the first involves identification of factor influence waste separation practice, the second requires weighting factor, which involves application of correlation and Hellwig method, and the final involves building of waste separation practice index using linear combination method. The result of index development displays that students are more dedicated to waste separation practice compared to academic lecturers and administrative staffs.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
