The Child Safety Car Alert System by Arduino is an integrated device that sends alerts to the driver if a child is left unintendedly in the car. The system is developed using the Arduino board which incorporates the integration between sensors and GSM module. This system uses pressure and motion sensors to detect the presence of a child located at the back seat of the vehicles. Meanwhile, the GSM or Global System for Mobile Communication allows the system to send an alert to the driver within a short period. The GSM is chosen due to its ability to lower the energy consumption per bit while providing higher data rates. Two sensors are used; Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) Sensor and Pressure Infrared (PIR) Sensor. The alert system is triggered when both sensors detect the presence of a child at the back of the car seat which will then notify the parents or a driver immediately through a message sent via a mobile phone.
Social interaction is an essential component for development of both normal and special needs children. However, many special needs children suffer from a lack of social interaction because they are unable to interpret social cues as well as a failure in social gaze when communicating. One of the ways to cope with these problems is to improve their social cognitive skill by teaching basic emotions through facial expressions. This paper describes the development of a new and sustainable teaching and learning approach using robotics to promote social interaction among special needs children of aged 4-6 years old. The robotic tool can teach basic facial expressions such as happy, sad and angry to increase emotion recognition skill among special needs children. The growing demand for technological innovation to enable empowerment of developing communities requires new and creative educational initiatives. Malaysia has also address it concerns on sustainable education for all spectrum of communities. RoboTherapist is a new teaching and learning method in Malaysia’s special education which targeting the special needs children. The special needs children are children with Autism, children with Down Syndrome, children with ADHD and slow learners. The aim of this research is to make teaching and learning more attentive for special needs children and hence to improve their social interaction in daily is life and gain confidence to communicate with the people around them.
—5G technology is leverages advanced antenna technology and wider bandwidth to improve the potential of wireless communication that enables a significant increase in the amount of information that can be transmitted through the wireless system. With its ability to deliver higher data rates and lower latency, 5G promises to support a wide range of applications, from immersive virtual reality to autonomous vehicles.However, 5G communication systems are characterized by poor radiation features, which limit their usefulness in wider operational ranges. To overcome these issues, this project will focus on designing a high-gain array antenna operating at 3.5GHz specifically for 5G communication. A directional patch antenna will be designed for a specific base station to provide high radiation network connectivity and superior communication quality. Moreover, the high-gain array antenna at 3.5GHz will be optimized for long-distance point-to-point connections. In this project, a 4x4 patch antenna will be designed and fabricated using FR4 epoxy material to achieve high gain for long-distance signal transmission.
