In the last decade, researchers from around the world have shown deep interest in using photovoice as a method of analysis in scientific research. This might be due to the participatory strength of the method that acts as a bridge to connect researcher and community by balancing scientific research and mitigating action. The purpose of this research is to synthesize the available research on the photovoice method using the Scientometric method. This article explores the research landscape, key topics, and developments of the photovoice method based on the 1252 document data retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection dated from 1997 to 2019. The results show that the interest in using this method is significantly high in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as they are the major leaders in publication contributions. A Scientometric analysis for Document co-citation analysis was applied and 15 research clusters were identified. This paper reviews the main characteristics of 6 most important clusters and their contribution to the photovoice method. The outcome of this study contributes to academia, industry practitioners and policymakers by providing an understanding of overall trends, status, and potential research questions of study in this domain.
The emergence of e-commerce or online shopping platform has opened-up multiple opportunities for business owners to multiply their earnings. At the same time, this enables consumers to shop conveniently compared to the traditional shopping method, especially during the Covid19 pandemic. In Malaysia, the development opens consumers to the novel threat of fraud and scams, especially on social media and other online shopping platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and Facebook Marketplace. Due to the alarming rise in scams worldwide and the elusive methods offenders use, law enforcement agencies have turned to public education and awareness programs to reduce the number of scam victims. Thus, this study aims to identify authors' attributes in e-commerce scams' promotional contents and narratives to examine the scammers' persuasive strategies to deceive their victims. Specifically, the study intends to look at the linguistic features in authorship attribution, including lexical, syntactic, semantic, structural, and content-specific features of the corpus. Although linguistic analysis has never been used in cybersecurity, learning the language used by scammers could help researchers collect more comprehensive empirical data and educate the public about this common phenomenon.
In late 2019, the world was shaken when an unprecedented infectious pandemic, Coronavirus Disease, or Covid-19, broke out. As a result, all Malaysians are obligated to comply with and follow the new regulations based on guidelines provided by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH). The situation affects the entire national education system regarding the Teaching and Learning (T&L) process. To ensure continuity in students' learning, the structure of T&L, which was previously conducted conventionally or face-to-face and centred on educators and students directly, has been changed to virtual and digital using the methods of Teaching and Learning at Home or Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the students in UiTM Melaka's perceptions on the effectiveness of teacher-made videos on YouTube as a teaching and learning tool during ODL. A set of questionnaires was distributed to students to seek input for this quantitative study. The data was analysed, and findings suggest that most of the students are highly interested in using lecturer-made videos in learning. In addition, students found that the use of YouTube assists them effectively in completing their course assignments and study assessments. As a result, it can be deduced that the use of lecturer-made videos in YouTube encourage the students to have meaningful learning experience and serve the aims of Open and Distance Learning.
