The influence of titanium and molybdenum oxides on the surface tension and density of the Al 2 O 3 -CaO-CaF 2 melt is investigated. It is found that the addition of 4-25 mol % TiO 2 and 3 mol % MoO 3 to the melt at 1773-1923 K promotes a decrease in surface tension and an increase in density. The manifes tation of complexing properties by titanium and molybdenum is found for the studied oxide-fluoride slags, and the sizes and structure of structural units are revealed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
