By developing this paper, we wanted to identify the opportunities for the growth and development of the Faget area in Romania, based on the specific resources available. Geographical location, natural and anthropogenic sites, as well as existing accommodation structures provide this area a high tourist potential. Natural landscapes, recreational areas, hunting, fishing, historical monuments, wooden churches, and natural resources are the most important attractions of the Faget area that can be valorised. The authors try to highlight in this paper the evolution of the tourist reception units in the analyzed area. We try to highlight other very important aspects of the analyzed area such as the total capacity of tourist accommodation in operation, the arrivals of tourists in the structures of tourist reception, but also the situation of overnight stays in these structures. Through this paper we want to point out how much the pandemic has influenced the tourism activity in the Faget area, but also its influence on accommodation structures. For this study we had to visit the analyzed area to see the real situation. We talked to the residents and the owners of accommodation units who presented us the real situation. Due to the information and data received from them, we were able to present the situation in the area, both before the pandemic and during the pandemic years. The authors of the paper have come to the conclusion that the promotion of the Faget area through tourism will allow its economic development by increasing peoples employment rate and incomes, which will lead to an increase in the quality of life of the inhabitants.
Employee motivation is "a science" whose role has proven, over time, to be a very important one. Sometimes recruiting employees is easy, but keeping them more difficult. Keeping employees in the company, creating with their help competitive products on the market, keeping the company in the top, depend to a great extent on how the employer/manager understands the importance of motivating the subordinate staff and knows that he must search, discover and apply those motivational techniques that are in line with employees' expectations. Why the motivation? Because motivation is an essential element in all fields of activity, especially in the tourism industry, where it is a priority coordinate. Motivation comes from within everyone, from the innermost recesses of the human being and is deeply rooted in the desires and needs of man.
The role of agriculture is an extremely important one because it provides the necessary production of foods for the population and, at the same time, represents a source of raw materials for different processing industries. For a growing population, agriculture has been the main source of agri-food products that must ensure the food security of the population. Compared to other states of Europe, Romania is one of the European countries with the most favourable soil and climate conditions for agriculture. The last world crises, from the crisis in 2008 to the pandemic crisis in 2020-2021, and especially to the current conflict between Russia and the Ukraine, have brought up the issue of food self-sufficiency. During the current period, it is important to know what production can be obtained in Romanian agriculture and if it can provide the food necessary for the population. An analysis regarding the dynamics of the cultivated areas and production of the main crops in Romania has been carried out, for each of its 8 development regions. The data, collected from different sources, were analysed using different methods. The research results highlight, for example, that Romania can easily achieve the self-sufficiency stage for most agricultural products of plant origin. In conclusion, natural resources, as well as the existence of a certain material base in Romanian agriculture, can ensure the increase of agricultural production, the satisfaction of the food needs of the population, as well as a certain availability for export.
At the beginning of the 18th century, begins to take shape, on the left bank of the Mures River, what today is considered by dedicated specialists "a national monument in the art of parks" and at the same time the oldest and most valuable collection of exotic woody plants and autochthonous from Romania, the wonderful Arboretum from Simeria. The geographical position favors the development of tourism, through the diversity of the landscape (dendrological park, hills, Mureș valley, Strei valley), the natural resources are large, possibility of hiking, the capacity of the territory to support several types of tourism; ecotourism can be developed and promoting the local arboretum brand would include the city of Simeria and the area in the tourist circuits. The aristocratic gardens from Banpotoc (located near Simeria) represent the work (over 15 years) of an italian in love with Romania. Giovanni Savatelli created „I Giardini di Zoe” with love for his granddaughter, Zoe, for our country but also from passion for gardening. In order to promote tourism in Simeria area, we must take into account both the natural and anthropogenic potential, besides it is necessary to preserve the traditions and popular habits of the area and develop these resources.
