The article substantiates the importance of studying criminal female behavior, its prevention. The procedure of socio-psychological diagnostics was carried out on 59 convicted women serving various sentences without isolation from society. The average age of the convicted women is 33 years, the education level is low. The women are either not employed or work in unskilled jobs. They are mostly unmarried or divorced women raising children. The dominant motive of the crimes committed is self-interest. Examining their psychological characteristics revealed impulsivity, underestimation of objective circum-stances and focus on situational desires, a tendency to aggression, conflict situations and antisocial behavior. Based on the identified indicators of the social and psychological development of the personality of convicted women, a number of socio-psychological measures have been proposed to improve their adaptation to life in society and reduce the overall delinquency index.
The object of the work was the research of religiousness as the factor affecting on nature of punishment, future plans, view of life and self-concept. In the work were used the following research methods: personal psychological characteristic examination, assessment of convicted person by the staff, social diagnostics of such factors as conscience of guilt, attitude toward punishment and punishment administration analysis.There were revealed trends in the study testifying an influence of religiousness on persons serving their sentences. Thus, religiousness is a trigger for correctional facility adaptation because there is a decrease of offences and violations of custodial control. Psychological diagnosis showed that the religious have higher opinion of themselves than the irreligious. 63, 2% of the religious have high or average level of inherent value and only 42, 9% of the irreligious have such level of inherent value. The faith promotes positive attitude to life and lower rate of depression among the religious testifies this. Religious convicted persons’ aim in life is to realize their moral standards of higher hierarchical level and this is a favorable background for their life after deinstitutionalization.Thus, research of religiousness as the factor affecting on convicted persons serving their prison terms has showed positive influence of faith on nature of punishment, future plans after deinstitutionalization, view of life and self-concept.
The article deals with the results of the study on burnout syndrome among teachers with various work experiences in university. The aim of the study is the review of burnout psychological patterns among teachers with various work experiences in university. The main hypothesis of the study is based on the assumption that the teachers whose work experience in departmental universities is more than 10 years are more vulnerable to the burnout syndrome development. In order to attain the envisaged goals and to test the hypothesis there were used empirical methods: differential diagnosis of decreased functioning by A. Leonova and S. Velichkovskaya, diagnosis of professional burnout by K. Maslach and S. Jackson adapted by N.E. Vodop’yanova, technique for diagnosing the burnout syndrome level by V.V. Boiko. Group comparison of teachers with various work experiences in university has shown that long term professional activity leads to burnout syndrome development: the most part of examined teachers are characterized by high level of burnout syndrome which structure is observed in high intensity of resistance and exhaustion phases and such syndromes as inadequate emotional discrete response; resignation or depersonalization, emotional and moral disorientation; psychosomatic and vegetative disorders.
