In this era of industrial revolution 4.0, there were many changes triggered by the integration of internet network technology in the field of industry both based on products and services. In the construction sector, this phenomenon resulted in Building Information Modeling (BIM) as an effect resulting from the integration of internet network technology and the construction process. BIM is defined as the flow of construction work in which data integration occurs between many parties and at various stages of work based on digital data through the internet network. Museum dalam perkembangannya memiliki setidaknya tiga fungsi, yaitu sebagai konservasi benda bersejarah, edukasi dan rekreasi bagi pengunjungnya. Sebagai wahana yang terbuka untuk publik, museum berkembang dengan berbagai tema. Museum menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata masyarakat untuk mengetahui hal-hal yang sangat khusus. Atas dasar perkembangan situasi tersebut, Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Surya Sembada Surabaya sebagai perusahaan jasa penyedia dan pengelola air bersih Surabaya yang memiliki sejarah panjang memutuskan untuk membangun Museum "Rumah Air". Museum ini dibangun bertujuan sebagai sarana konservasi benda-benda bersejarah mengenai perusahaan sekaligus sebagai sarana edukasi tentang air bersih bagi masyarakat. Studi ini menggunakan metode evaluasi desain dengan analisa deskriptif kualitatif yang mengkaji mengenai perancangan dan hasil pelaksanaan interior Museum "Rumah Air" PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya. Tujuan dari studi adalah menjelaskan peran kolaborasi perancangan interior dan visual grafis dalam konteks mendukung tujuan museum untuk "bercerita" mengenai perusahaan dan air bersih kepada masyarakat. Hasil dari studi menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi perancangan interior dan visual grafis pada Museum "Rumah Air" PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya dapat menghadirkan "cerita" dalam 4 bagian, yaitu bagian pentingnya air, air di era kolonial, air di era sekarang dan air di masa depan. Seluruh bagian yang direncanakan dapat memberikan pengetahuan dan kesan yang utuh sehingga tercapai tujuan museum yaitu mengkomunikasikan sejarah perusahaan dan edukasi mengenai air bersih. Kolaborasi tersebut juga mampu menghadirkan citra museum yang memiliki semangat kebaruan walaupun penerapannya dilakukan pada bangunan dari masa kolonial tanpa harus melakukan banyak gubahan.
The virtual museum is one direction of museum development. This digital museum allows freedom of access, number of accesses health-safety for the visitor, and security of collections. The design of the virtual museum space was developed simultaneously, to assist the presence of intellectual and emotional experiences, approaching the capabilities of conventional physical museums. Efforts to digitally reconstruct for museum space are strived continuously, by multiplying the room design variants and sharpening the attribute database. The attributes referred to here, are the geometry of the showroom platform, in the form of volume, percentage of pavilion cover, circulation, and arrangement of collections. More number of collections on digital space geometry designs and their attributes will enrich and sharpen the immersive performance of the virtual museum design in the future. This geometry data is also useful for further refining research, such as acoustic analysis and lighting design. The research method started with observation in 16 museums and exhibition galleries in East Java. The results of the observations were continued by collecting 24 variants of the general geometry design of the pavilion configuration space. The second stage is done with selection and tabulation based on similarities, to minimized repetition. At this stage, the analysis which is recorded from field observations regarding visibility, circulation comfort, and noise, was applied, so that the seven core geometric designs were obtained. Within the third stage, digital geometric drawing was created using Trimble SketchUp. Validation was done by testing the results, in the sound propagation ray-tracing software. The results of the study were seven digital geometries of the pavilion design variant. These geometries are capable of using as the basis, for developing more digital gallery or museum space design, with good quality space-visitor interaction.
Pada umumnya, selasar memiliki fungsi tunggal sebagai jalur sirkulasi. Dalam pembangunan gedung baru Departemen Desain Interior ITS, inovasi diberikan dengan menghadirkan konsep multifungsi yang disebut selasar aktivitas. Konsep multifungsi ini menambahkan fasilitas area diskusi asistensi dan galeri karya pada area selasar yang bertujuan mewadahi kebutuhan aktivitas mahasiswa. Untuk menunjang konsep tersebut, faktor yang harus diperhatikan adalah pencahayaan, baik sebagai penerangan umum maupun sebagai elemen pendukung agar kebutuhan mahasiswa dapat terpenuhi dengan baik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang menggambarkan hubungan antara objek penelitian dengan sistem pencahayaan buatan, dengan teknik eksperimental berupa simulasi menggunakan software DIALux. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi dokumen perencanaan gedung baru Departemen Desain Interior ITS dan standar perancangan pencahayaan bangunan. Hasil dari studi ini yaitu perlunya penambahan lampu pada area selasar berupa accent lighting dan task lighting dengan ukuran lux tertentu untuk menunjang kebutuhan mahasiswa sewaktu-waktu. Temuan dari studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi perencanaan tata pencahayaan di selasar gedung baru Departemen Desain Interior ITS. In the construction of a new building for the ITS Interior Design Department, innovation is provided by presenting a multifunctional concept called activity lobby. This multifunctional concept adds facilities for the discussion area of assistance and a gallery of works in the lobby area that aims to accommodate the needs of student activities. To support this concept, the factor that must be considered is lighting, both as general lighting and as a supporting element so that student needs can be met properly. The research method used is descriptive method that describes the relationship between research objects with artificial lighting systems, with experimental techniques in the form of simulations using DIALux software. Data collected includes new building planning documents of the ITS Interior Design Department and building lighting design standards. The results of this study are the need for additional lights in the lobby area in the form of accent lighting and task lighting with certain lux sizes to support student needs at any time. The findings of this study are expected to be a recommendation for lighting planning in the lobby of the new building of the ITS Interior Design Department.
