According to Word Health Organization (WHO) data, infant mortality caused by Succedaneum Caput infection decreased by 0.05% from 4 million infants who died at 30 days (advanced neonatal). While in Indonesia the infant mortality rate due to infection of Caput succedaneum in 2013 amounted to 11% from 35 per 1000 live births. Goals: To have real experience in implementing Care of Newborn Gynecology Born on By. Mrs. S age of 1 day with Caput Succedaneum at Santa Elisabeth Lubuk Baja Batam Hospital in 2017. Method: Based on a case study on By. Mrs. S, the method uses Varney Midwifery Management approach, for data collection that is primary data consisting of physical examination include examination of caput extension, general condition, vital signs, and anthropometry. Result: Based on By case. Mrs. S with Caput Succedaneum performed handling and treatment for 4 days at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Batam. After the treatment of Caput Succedaneum and giving 20 gram Trombophop gel therapy, the baby's condition has improved and the caput problem has been resolved. Conclusion: Based on By case. Mrs. S after the management of Succedaneum Caput and minimize the removal of baby's head, the baby's condition has improved.
Efforts to create a healthy life must start from a baby because at this time there is a rapid growth and development that determines growth and development in adulthood. Mothers must prepare themselves by increasing their knowledge in caring for newborns, because the mother's ability to care for newborns is influenced by mother's knowledge from the beginning, if the mother does not have good knowledge, the mother will have difficulty in carrying out new roles as a mother. Goals : This study aims to find out the description of knowledge of Primipara's mother about the care of a newborn baby at clinicPratamaKasihIbu 2019 in caring for a newborn baby. Method : This research is conducted with a descriptive method, sampling is carried out by taking the entire population, namely 30 primiparous mothers are examined (Total Sampling). Result : Based on the results of the research, the Respondents' knowledges of newborn care with good knowledge are 5 people (16.7 %), and Respondents with less Knowledge are 6 people (20%) . Conculsion : Based on the results of the study, it can be found that the majority of Primipara mothers get information from friends, not from health workers, so it is advisable for health workers or the local government to provide counseling or care about care newborn baby.
Hepatitis B adalah suatu penyakit hati yang disebabkan oleh virus Hepatitis B (VHB), suatu anggota family Hepadnavirus yang dapat menyebabkan peradangan hati yang menahun dan dapat berlanjut menjadi sirosis hati. Prevalensi Hepatitis B di Indonesia masih tinggi disebabkan karena penularan penyakit hepatitis B dari ibu melahirkan ke bayi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi bidan dalam pemberian imunisasi Hepatitis B pada bayi baru lahir di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Siantar Sitalasari. Jenis penelitian adalah survei dengan metode pengukuran data cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu bersalin yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Siantar Sitalasari pada periode Juli sampai Desember tahun 2022 yang ditolong oleh bidan sebanyak 102 orang, seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji univariat, Chi Square dan regresi logistik berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi (p=0,046; 95%CI 1,016-5,882), kemampuan (p=0,019; 95%CI 1,195-7,034) dan persepsi bidan (p=0,044; 95%CI 1,025-5,949) berpengaruh terhadap pemberian imunisasi Hepatitis B. Variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya adalah kemampuan dengan nilai Exp B= 2,899 artinya bidan yang memiliki kemampuan baik mempunyai peluang untuk memberikan imunisasi hepatitis B 2,899 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan bidan yang kemampuannya tidak baik. Rendahnya cakupan imunisasi ini disebabkan sekitar 64,7% ibu menyatakan bidan tidak menjelaskan kepada ibu bahwa semua bayi baru lahir itu harus diberikan imunisasi hepatitis B ini, 59,2% ibu menyatakan tidak mendapatkan penjelasan dari bidan tentang manfaat imunisasi hepatitis B pada bayi, dan 59,8% ibu menyatakan tidak tahu bahwa pemberian imunisasi hepatitis B pertama pada bayi tidak boleh lewat dari tujuh hari setelah bayi dilahirkan sehingga mereka menganggap imunisasi hepatitis B ini bisa diberikan saat bayi telah berusia lebih dari 1 bulan. Disarankan kepada Puskesmas Siantar Sitalasari untuk lebih meningkatkan cakupan pemberian imunisasi hepatitis B dengan peningkatan peran serta ibu untuk membawa anaknya imunisasi, dan melakukan pelatihan bagi seluruh petugas kesehatan. Memberikan penghargaan bagi bidan agar lebih memotivasi dirinya dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Kata kunci : Motivasi, Kemampuan, Persepsi, Pemberian Imunisasi Hepatitis B

This condition is thought to lead to low maternal access to antenatal care. Goals : Antenatal care in accordance with antenatal care standards may decrease Maternal and Infant Mortality due to regular antenatal care can detect early problems that occur in the mother during pregnancy.Methods : The type of this research is analytical descriptive with cross sectional design which aims to analyze the influence of access and motivation of pregnant mother to mother behavior in doing antenatal visit. The research was conducted in Pancur Batu Puskesmas Working Area. The population is 181 people and the sample size is 61 people. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with Chi-Square test, and multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression test.Result : The result of this research indicate that physical accessibility variable is the availability of unrelated officer (p = 0,461) to mother behavior in antenatal visit, social accessibility variable (p = 0,005) and attitude (p = 0,023), and for motivation variable is motive P = 0.005) and expectations (p = 0.019) had a significant effect on maternal behavior in antenatal visits.Conclution : Based on the results of research suggested Head of Pancur Batu Puskesmas to conduct training to officers especially midwives who provide services mainly about hospitality in providing services and to officers implementing services further improve the communication of information and education so that every pregnant women have a good understanding that can eventually cause attitude Positive, high motivation and expectation that can affect the mother in conducting standardized antenatal visits.
Competence is a skill based on skills and knowledge supported by work attitude and its application in performing tasks. Newborn asphyxia management is a midwifery service that must be performed by a competent midwife who requires mastery of knowledge, attitudes and skills in critical situations. This research is an observational survey that aims to analyze the relationship of midwives competence (knowledge and attitude) to management of newborn asphyxia management. Population in this research is all village midwife who is in working area of Deli Serdang Health Office which amounts to 68 people. And the entire population is sampled in this study (Total Sampling). Data collection through interviews, questionnaires and observations. Data analysis was done by Chi-Square Test at 95% confidence level. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between midwives knowledge (Ρ = 0.000) with management of newborn asphyxia management. And there is a relationship of midwife attitude (Ρ = 0.047) with management of newborn asphyxia management. The knowledge variable that has the greatest relation to management of newborn asphyxia management compared with midwife attitude variable with Exp (B) value = 16.2. Important conclusions and implications in this study is that it can be assumed that the education and training of management of newborn asphyxia is very supportive in the effort of improving the competence of village midwife in the work area of Deli Serdang Health Department so that the given midwifery service is qualified and the infant mortality due to asphyxia can Prevented.
