Slang is one of the typical languages formed from Indonesian, but has been modified into a new language and is used when communicating. This study uses a research method that is descriptive qualitative method in the form of data which is then processed into a neat and easy to understand written form. This study aims to describe, validate the phenomenon under study, and to find out the reality of the phenomenon related to the use of slang by the youth of Selokajang Village. Data collection techniques used by researchers are interview techniques and also observation techniques or direct observation. Researchers used verbal data analysis techniques in the form of speeches descriptions. Data in the form of speech is based on the context of the situation, social, and cultural. Based on the results of the analysis through the interview method with the youth of Selokajang Village, it was found that there were 20 variations of slang used by the youth of Selokajang Village in daily communication. Language variation is one approach or study of sociolinguistics, language variation is often also called language variety. One form of language variation that occurs in people's speech acts is slang or also called millennial slang.
Abstract. The study of ethnolinguistics is a combination of two sciences, namely, ethnology and linguistics. The study of certain ethnic groups, certain cultures, and the intricacies of their language is ethnolinguistic studies. With the merging of knowledge, ethnolinguistics is the study of culture and language or linguistics. This study seeks to explain the form of the lexicon and the form of culture in the Kuih Ashura tradition of the Malay society of Nakhon Si Thammarat Thailand. This research is based on the study of ethnolinguistic theory which explains the relationship between culture and language. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive type. The techniques and methods in this study use note taking techniques and the listening method in mentioning terms or conversations when the Kuih Ashura tradition is carried out by the Malay community of Nakhon Si Thammarat. This study seeks to explain that the Kuih Ashura tradition is always carried out every year in the Islamic New Year. The results showed that there were 12 monomorphemic forms, 9 polymorphemic forms, and 2 forms of Kuih Ashura culture in the Malay society of Nakhon Si Thammarat as ideas, values, norms, provisions, and as community activities.Keywords: The Kuih Ashura, Malay Society Thailand, Ethnolinguistic Study
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan adanya tindak tutur dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh pemelajar BIPA di Muslim Santitham Fundation School Thailand. Data diperoleh pada saat pembelajaran BIPA di Muslim Santitham Fundation School Thailand. Data diambil secara langsung dari lapangan dengan teknik simak dan catat. Simak digunakan untuk mengetahui data tindak tutur dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Catat digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tuturan dari pemelajar BIPA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik bahasa antara. Data dianalisis dengan prespektif pragmatik untuk memperoleh faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan pada tindak tutur dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh pemelajar BIPA. Hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa ada empat faktor tindak tutur, yaitu ragam formal dan informal, pemilihan strategi tutur, pemilihan formula semantik, dan pemilihan pronomina persona.
This article aims to describe anonymous word forms; homonyms, comparisons of forms, meanings of synonymous words, and homonyms in Patani Malay and Indonesian in the conversations of Indonesian Tadris students from the 2018 class of IAIN Tulungagung, and its implications for communication and student relations IAIN Tulungagung. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a comparative linguistic approach. Data were collected by participating in observation and interview techniques. Observations to determine the real interaction between Thai students and Indonesian students on campus. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted to find out the meaning of synonymous and homonymous words in Patani Malay and Indonesian in the interaction between Thai students and Indonesian students at IAIN Tulungagung. The results of data analysis found that (1) Synonymous words in Patani Malay and Indonesian have basic meanings and additional meanings that differ in emotive meaning, the prevalence of use, and distribution; (2) Homonymous words have several forms of homonymous word classes, namely homonymous words that are homographs and homonyms that are homophones; (3) Synonymous and homonymous words in Patani Malay and Indonesian in the interaction of Thai students and Indonesian students at IAIN Tulungagung have implications for (a) misunderstandings often occur between Patani students and Indonesian students, (b) Information is often not conveyed because there are many dictions or words that have far different meanings, (c) When in class, Patani students often miss material because it is difficult to understand discussions in class that continue to use Indonesian
<p>This research is a qualitative-descriptive research. This study also uses two methods, namely descriptive and explanative. Both methods are used to describe and explain the phenomenon of social expression and cultural values of Javanese society in the film “Lemantun”. The phenomenon includes its form, purpose, and context.</p><p>Given these paper, the researcher seeks to examine the social expressions and cultural values of the Javanese people through the film "Lemantun" by Wregas Bhanuteja. This study aims to find the relationship between social expression and cultural values that exist in Javanese society. Therefore, the purpose of writing this paper is (1) to find out what forms of social expression and cultural values can be learned from the film "Lemantun", (2) what interpretations are found in social expressions and cultural values.</p><p>This study uses the film "Lemantun" as the data source. The data analyzed are utterances or sentences spoken by the players. In this analysis, the researcher attempts to link social expressions and cultural values in the film by associating elements of Javanese culture in Indonesia, considering that the film "Lemantun" is a Javanese-language film entitled "Wardrobe".</p><p>The results of this study include the discovery of social expressions and cultural values that exist in Javanese society. This research also seeks to find out how the Javanese people think and the real social etiquette.</p>
