The purpose of the article is to improve the methodological approaches to streamlining the process of resource management of agribusiness entities in the strategic perspective. The key parameters of resource potential management for agribusiness entities with an emphasis on the elements of the market mechanism and the connection with the strategy of development of the agro-industrial complex in the region are revealed. Classical (strategy of cost leadership, strategy of differentiation in local markets, strategy of vertical integration and horizontal cooperation) and non-classical types (serving niche markets on the basis of organic agriculture) of resource potential management strategy are investigated. To justify the choice of one of the above strategies for resource management, a set of criteria is proposed by which the choice is made. First of all, it concerns the assessment of the impact of the external environment, based on the analysis of globalization trends, which is key in the choice of any strategy. Analysis of environmental factors includes assessment of factors of indirect influence and direct interaction. The tools content of the assessment of the environmental factors impact of indirect action is presented: SWOT-analysis and PESTEL-analysis. The assessment of the direct interaction factors covers the activities of related and supporting industries of the agricultural sector, the influence of competitors (existing and possible), for the analysis of which it is advisable to use the tools of 5 competition forces, state support. An important element of the study of the influence of factors on the choice of resource management strategy is the analysis of risks that are integrated into the complex structure of interdependent types. The generalized mechanism of influence of the considered factors taking into account the level of the integrated productivity coefficient of the consumed resources and the level of the integrated profitability coefficient of the applied resources is presented. The essence of quantitative and qualitative methods of risk assessment for agribusiness entities is revealed. The expediency of applying the method of hierarchy analysis proposed by T. Saati for the direct choice of a specific type of strategy for managing the resource potential of the agrarian business is substantiated. Keywords: agribusiness entity, resource potential, management strategy, external environment, risk, methodological approaches, risk assessment methods.
At the present stage of development of management of the organizations the project approach which is based on system, and the basic basic unit of research considers process becomes more and more popular. The reflection of the interrelationships and orderliness of processes during the implementation of projects is a general methodology of project management, which has so far acquired a world-class definition as an acceptable and appropriate management standard. Consideration of the conceptual foundations of the project approach to the introduction of innovations in the agricultural sector of the economy requires further exploration due to the prevalence of fragmentary developments in this area of research and taking into account the specifics of the industry that requires specific management decisions. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the conceptual foundations and develop tools for implementing a project approach to the implementation of innovations in agricultural enterprises. To increase the level of efficiency of agroinnovation implementation, the peculiarities of using the project approach are described in the work. Consideration of basic project management standards (Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK); P2M methodology (A Guidebook of Project and Program Management for Enterprise Innovation); PRINCE2 methodology (PRojects IN Controlled Environments); IPMA methodology (IPMA Competence Baseline (ICB)), allowed to determine that the best way to achieve this goal is to use a standard that allows you to most accurately determine the content of management processes in certain areas of knowledge at different stages of the life cycle of agro-innovation project approach to the introduction of agroinnovation, which allows to increase the level of resource efficiency and resource conservation. Keywords: project approach, innovations, agroinnovations, conceptual principles, project management tools, agricultural enterprises.
The aim of the study is to analyze the theoretical and applied aspects of the development of integration processes in agro-industrial production. The essence of integrated formations of horizontal and vertical types as directions of capital consolidation in the agro-industrial sector is revealed. A retrospective analysis of the development of integration processes in agricultural production is presented, focusing on the dominant trends in terms of aspects of “concentration – deconcentration”. The directions of diversification of activity of agroholdings in Ukraine are investigated. The effectiveness of the strategy of consolidation and consolidation of agricultural production based on increasing the length of the domestic value chain by implementing the strategy of forming vertically integrated structures is proved. The positive effect of the latter is realized in the elimination of price disparities between the spheres of bringing agricultural products to the final consumer; harmonization of the movement of material flow within the logistics processes – from providing production with objects and means of labor to optimizing sales channels of finished products as a result of the inclusion of relevant components in the structure of the production process. The negative (economic, ecological, social) consequences of overconcentration of production in the agro-industrial sphere are highlighted. The economic results of agricultural holdings are considered in terms of legal components – a strategic decision to register agricultural holdings in offshore areas leads to a significant reduction in tax revenues, reducing the state’s ability to pursue public interests. The ecological consequences of the integration associations are due to the dominance of commercially attractive products in the product structure of agricultural holdings, which results in reduced areas of the most valuable soils, reduced fertility of the entire soil, significant reduction of soil functions, reduced biodiversity. The social effect of the concentration of production in the agro-industrial sector has a negative color due to the impact on employment and the deepening of infrastructural problems in rural areas. The directions of corrective actions on the part of the state concerning harmonization of structural parameters of achievement of effective use of resource potential of agro-industrial sphere are offered. Keywords: agro–industrial production, integration, concentration, vertically integrated structures, value chain, agroholdings.
Introduction. The tense competition in the market due to the influence of integration and globalization processes has led to changes in the business of agricultural businesses. This has affected the existing approaches to the formation and use of resource potential of agricultural businesses, including shifting the emphasis on the creation and development of competitive advantages in the unstable economic environment and the digitalization of the world economy. Resource potential becomes a priority strategic basis for the development of agribusiness entities. The purpose of the study is to develop a mechanism for managing the resource potential of agricultural businesses. Results. The importance of forming a mechanism for managing the resource potential of agribusiness entities is substantiated and the positions of scientists regarding the vision of this process are presented. The interaction of the managed and control system within the management of resource potential of agrarian business subjects is outlined and the content of their mutual influence is revealed. The conditions necessary to ensure effective resource management of agribusiness entities are identified. The mechanism of resource potential management of agrarian business subjects which consists of functional, instrumental and methodical blocks is offered. The functional unit is represented by management functions, resources and levels of management (strategic, tactical and operational); instrumental - system-forming elements of the resource potential of agrarian business entities (structure, culture, processes, hierarchy), as well as improvement measures and integration measures; methodological - goals, principles and strategies for managing the resource potential of the agribusiness entity. Conclusions. The developed mechanism for managing the resource potential of agribusiness entities will help increase their level of competitiveness and the development of competitive advantages in a dynamic unstable environment. Its difference from the existing ones is structural features based on the features of intellectualization of the management process, take into account the priority of management principles of economic development in micro-level entities and ways of influencing the management entity on the object of management methodological, instrumental and functional components defining further resource potential in the areas of organizational hierarchy, structure, processes and culture. Keywords: mechanism, resource potential, competitive advantages, agrarian business entities.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the theoretical and applied aspects of the relationship between the structural parameters of agricultural businesses and the efficiency of resource potential. The evolution of the concept of concentration is revealed taking into account the understanding of subjective - objective aspects of the genesis of the process and the nature of the influence on the market structure. The connection of production efficiency with such a feature as the size of the enterprise is considered on the basis of data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. In crop production, the segment of growing cereals and legumes was analyzed, the yield and gross production volume were chosen as an indicator of effectiveness. The study of the current structure of production by the criterion of scale in animal husbandry (cattle, cows, pigs, sheep and goats, poultry) was conducted on the basis of analysis of livestock of a particular species per enterprise and the volume of livestock production of a particular species. The working hypothesis is formulated, the essence of which is to recognize the greatest potential of the processes of vertical integration in solving the problem of improving the efficiency of the resource potential of agricultural enterprises. It is proved that vertically integrated structures achieve competitive advantages due to the har-monization of the movement of material flow within the logistics processes; optimization of sales channels of finished prod-ucts based on the development of effective sales schemes; consolidation and expansion of income sources of production means by inclusion of raw material zones in structure of production process; formation and rational use of investment funds. This conclusion was obtained by analyzing public data on the activities of the largest by the land bank of agricultural holdings of Ukraine, belonging to the group of agro-industrial and commercial enterprises and combining production, industrial pro-cessing, marketing to the final consumer. The directions of state regulatory influence application are offered in the strategic purpose realization of harmonization of structural parameters of achievement of resource potential effective use of agrarian sphere. Keywords: agribusiness entities, resource potential, capital concentration, capital centralization, vertical integration, agroholdings.
