The synthesis of block-copolymers of controlled chain length and content of end peroxide groups via polymerization of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate initiated by Ce 4+-PEG system using a functional peroxidecontaining chain transfer agent was developed. Rheological and colloidal-chemical characteristics of novel polyampholitic surfactants were studied.
Abstract.1 Metal-complex macroinitiators were successfully applied for the synthesis of polymer nanocomposites with core-shell structure by two-stage water dispersed polymerization. On the first stage, formation of monodispersed polymer particles of desired size and functionality is achieved by target variation of macroinitiator concentration, content of metal cations in its structure, and pH of medium. Initiation of grafted polymerization from the surface of seeded particles is provided by residual peroxide moieties of macroinitiator.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
