The article is devoted to the problem of the formation and development of a communicative competence in a non-linguistic university. The authors define “internal” differentiation as the most effective way to solve the problem presented in the article. The levels of students’ training, as well as communicative tasks for each level are considered. Particular attention is paid to practical implementation of the differentiated approach, namely, the types of different levelstechniques are proposed for the formation and development of a communicative competence. The results of the educational process with the use of “internal” differentiation are analyzed and visualized. Its effectiveness is proved.
