This study aims to evaluate the link between inclusive finance and entrepreneurship creation among banking agency, with specific reference to point of sale (POS) operators in Nigeria. Therefore, the study anchored on the special agent theory of financial inclusion. The novelty of this research is the inclusion of Khan Measurement variables and methods for evaluating financial inclusion (FI), who proposed the use of the FI index to measure banking penetration, availability and accessibility of service/product and usage of banking system/technology. Another novelty is financial inclusion in the entrepreneurial paradigm, which is a model of an inclusive financial channel for startup businesses and entrepreneurship creation. This model provides a basis for financial solutions for struggling startups in agency banking. 204 copies of the questionnaire were retrieved from the respondents out of 399 distributed to POS operators and two agent banks using the Yamane statistical method. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the questions from each variable, while regression statistical analysis was employed to test the hypotheses. The findings revealed that banking penetration has a significant positive relationship with entrepreneurship creation of services, financial products/services has a significant positive relationship with entrepreneurship creation, and usage of banking services was significantly and positively related to entrepreneurship creation among Lagos POS operators. Practical application is for POS operators and agent banks used to promote financial inclusion and job creation. Therefore, it is imperative that agency banking should provide more financial incentives to POS and mobile banking operators to encourage them to have access to funds.
Potable water is essential for human survival but contaminations through human activities have jeo pardized it. This research will create awareness on the condition of hand dug well water used and reduce transmission of diseases in the study areas. The study deals with the determination of physic-chemical parameters and Mineral composition of water samples collected in the month of September, 2019 from hand dug well from selected local government areas in Oyo State Nigeria, (Ibadan North-East, Ibarapa Central, Afijio, Ogbomoso South and Iseyin local government). The parameters examined were Temperature (ToC), Potential Hydrogen (pH), Conductivity (µ/S-1/cm), Total Dissolved Solid (TDS ppm), Salinity (ppm), Dissolved Oxygen (DO mg/L),Potassium (K+), Calcium (Ca2+), Magnesium (Mg2+), Zinc (Zn2+) and Chloride (Cl-). Standard analytical methods were used. The analytical results of the study revealed that Temperatures are within 27 and 28oC, the pH of the samples ranges from 4.7-6.8, Conductivity falls between 785-1671 µ/S-1/cm. The TDS ranges from 550-1346 ppm, Salinity from 384-956 ppm while DO had the values ranges of 6.03-11.44 mg/l. Potassium (K+) (1.92-6.22 mg/l), Calcium (Ca2+) (14.74-18.52 mg/l), Magnesium (Mg2+) (6.34-7.81 mg/l), Zinc (Zn2+) (0.39-0.47mg/l) and Chloride (Cl-) (26.19-28.70 mg/l). It was noted that, Conductivity, salinity and DO were high compared to WHO and NSDWQ permissible standard limits. This indicated that pollution from dumpsites and erosion has great impact on the water. The mineral compositions of the water samples are within the permissible limit recommended by WHO. It is advisable that proper drainage and sewer systems should be constructed in all areas to ensure proper disposal of hazardous liquid waste, thereby preventing seepage into groundwater and surface water.
The future Economic Prosperity of Nigeria lies in the dynamism and growth of Entrepreneurial activity. In Nigeria, the importance of Entrepreneurial development cannot be undermined; its contributions are quite obvious and visible in economic transformations. Entrepreneurs need to attract Finance (money) to fully commercialize their concepts since finance has been seen as the most essential current asset for any business operation. Evidence from literature show that financing play a critical role in the success or failure of entrepreneurs. The extent to which Entrepreneurs in SMEs section access the available sources of finance in Nigeria is worthy of investigation. In line with this, the paper assessed the relationship between available form of finance and performance of entrepreneurs. The population of the study comprises of all 7474 registered Entrepreneurs that involved in Small and Medium Enterprises in Southwestern Nigeria. A random sampling technique was adopted for the study across the six states that form Southwestern Nigeria. The selection was based on their predominance in commercial activities in Nigeria. The Taro Yamane's formula: n=N/1+N(e) 2 was used to select sample size of 379 out of the total population of 7474. Primary data was collected through a designed questionnaire and administered on the selected study sample. Out of the 379copies of questionnaires sent out to the selected respondents, 298 were received and found useful. Data collected were analysed using frequency , table and percentage while
The use of different fragments of planning's existed across entities in Total E & P - JV District but these planning were neither integrated nor centrally coordinated which resulted in: poor visibility of inter-relationship with other entities, making it time consuming to identify clashes and concurrent activity issues; inability to optimize/align activities with production shortfalls; use of different planning tools/templates which resulted in duplication of data/activities & planners spending much time in data entry and generating reports; and difficulty with linking Integrated Planning (IP) to organizational business model/budget which gives a poor overview of the operational cost/efficiency and resources optimization. These prompted the IP transformation project, where a review of the situation along with its limitation were discussed during workshops organized with entity schedulers and their management. Return on experience from other affiliates on Implementation of IP were also reviewed and data gathered/feedbacks from entities were used to develop the new IP deliverables. A central enterprise planning software was adopted, schedulers were selected, trained and processes, rules were equally defined and developed. We now have a single centrally coordinated IP database that now enables the identification of anticipate clashes and Synergies, proper POB management, enhancement of Contracts and Procurement to better anticipate required resources (materials), follow progress, Improved communication and transverse approach across the Total E & P JV-District, arbitration and report when required and incorporation of IP in established JV business processes. The scope of the transformation project includes HSE, Production, Maintenance, Drilling and Completion/Well Services, General Services, Events, Inspection, Engineering/Construction and Projects, Contracts and Procurement, Shutdown, Campaign of Works, Technical Logistics and General Activities. These entities can now extract planned activities with varied time scales with deliverables ranging from weekly, 4monthly, 1 yearly (work program) and 24 monthly.
