Konsentrasi berpengaruh terhadap jalannya pembelajaran. Penyebab kurangnya konsentrasi ketika belajar yaitu perhatiannya teralihkan pada stimulus yang tidak berhubungan dengan pembelajaran, tidak memperhatikan guru, tidak mengerjakan tugas dengan baik, melihat teman yang mengobrol dan ikut mengobrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan brain gym terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi anak dengan hambatan kecerdasan ringan di SLB C Purnama Asih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen Single Subject Research, dengan desain A-B-A. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipatif. Tiga fase pengumpulan data, adalah baseline-1 (A1), Intervensi (B), dan baseline-2 (A2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan brain gym berpengaruh positif terhadap meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar anak dengan hambatan kecerdasan ringan. Hal tersebut terlihat dari peningkatan konsentrasi belajar anak dengan hambatan kecerdasan ringan, subjek mampu memperhatikan guru lebih lama ketika guru sedang menyampaikan materi, mampu mengerjakan tugas, bertanya dan menjawab sesuai materi, tidak mencari asal suara yang datang dari luar kelas, tidak banyak bermain dan mengobrol ketika pembelajaran.
The research was motivated because of every year the population of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) continues to increase. An autism spectrum disorder characterized by three impairments (triad of impairments) are impairment of social communication, impairment of social interaction and behavior. The impact of stress on the family as for their children with GSA disorder can occur either internally or externally. Goal of research is a model of early intervention to enhance social interaction and communication skills of children with GSA. The method used is the Research and Development, with a primary emphasis on the qualitative approach, descriptive analysis, by interview and observation. The results showed that there are parents who initially could not accept, and even today is still not able to accept the children unconditionally and their stress because of confusion how to communicate with their children, but if there is a problem that must be faced by families support each other, think together solution. Early intervention is not well developed in the family, parents prefer intervention by the therapist rather than doing it yourself.
Activity partners selected in this service activity were selected using a purposive sample system (subjective sample intended based on the researcher's assessment). Based on observations and informal interviews with partners and the community in Kawali Village, Ciamis, Indonesia, the empowerment of children with special needs and the community through gardening activities in the village is very necessary for land use, increasing productivity, and efforts to create an inclusive community environment. The techniques are counseling, webinars, questions and answers, the direct object method of gardening with special needs children, child gardening at home, learning active methods, descriptive interviews, and practices related to gardening activities. The results of the study are: (1) an increase in public knowledge regarding the child with special needs, (2) creating a friendly environment for crew members, (3) publication of activities published in popular media, and (4) design of sustainable targets for further activities. This community service activity has a good impact and a positive value because the series of activities carried out can be a means of improving a friendly environment for children with special needs, and providing useful knowledge to the Kawali, Ciamis, Indonesia.
