Introduction: Breast cancer is the most frequent type of câncer in women, except for cases of non-melanoma skin cancer. It is the fifth cause of cancer death in general and the most common cause of cancer death in women. Survival analysis is intended to keep life expectancy data updated.Objective: To analyze the overall survival of patients with breast cancer in a medium-sized city in the interior of Minas Gerais.Method: A prospective, cross-sectional clinical study was carried out through the analysis of medical records of 190 patients diagnosed with breast cancer from 2010 to 2014. Patients were selected through evaluation of Hospital Registry of Cancer. The conditional probability of survival was calculated using Kaplan-Meier method.Results: Patients were predominantly female (98.95%), 51-60 years (26.31%), leukoderma (74.21%) and had private health insurance (57.8%). Most of patients were stage II (30.5%) and had unspecified breast malignant neoplasm as primary site (93.68%). In this study, an overall survival of 85.13% was found.
