An oscillation with a period around 5.5 years is identified as being common to the geomagnetic field, the Earth's rotation, and solar activity variations. The large extrema of the crosscorrelation functions and their oscillatory character are considered to be indicators of a physical relation between geophysical and solar phenomena.
