This study aims to determine the use of the game method. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of the study was SLB CG-YPPCG Bina Sejahtera Surakarta. In this study, data collection methods were used through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results show that the characteristics of students at SLB CG-YPPCG Bina Sejahtera Surakarta are experiencing slowness in doing something or difficulty in understanding and learning new things. Then the game method used in learning is that the teacher provides learning with an arrangement of simple and sequential steps made with simple and fun games. So with this model learning can improve social and motor skills for mentally retarded children at SLB CG-YPPCG Bina Sejahtera Surakarta.
This study aims to determine the teacher's role in the application of Islamic Cultural History learning to students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. This type of research is a qualitative research with the subject of this research is the teacher of Islamic Cultural History and the students of grade 1 junior high school. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Then this study uses data analysis through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's role is as a partner, resource person, and companion. Then the Islamic Cultural History teacher has a capable application of SKI learning so that he is able to strive for character building for the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta, namely 1) the teacher always teaches and trains children to get used to saying the words "thank you" and "apologizing, 2) the teacher always teach and train children to get used to keeping their mouths, 3) teachers always teach and train children to be polite, respect and respect each other by anyone, 4) teachers convey to children so that when passing in front of older people, namely by lowering the gaze then bowing his body by saying a greeting or excuse me, namely "monggo", 5) the teacher conveys 3 messages of Rasulullah SAW to students, namely to always improve morals, spread love, and become a useful human being, 6) the teacher conveys 3 sunan messages Kalijaga, namely: don't claim to be smart if you can't tell From your own mistakes, don't claim to be superior if you still like to humiliate others, and don't claim to be holy if you still can't unite with God.
