From their first releases in 1975 and 1981, both series have been rebroadcast either in part or in full during the decades of 1980 and 1990. However, their 21st century releases differ from the previous ones since the image quality has been improved thanks to a remastering process that enables the replication of current broadcast quality standards. The remastering practice includes different technical and documentary procedures that enables cinema rolls to be converted to HD copies suitable not only for the traditional broadcast networks (in this case first, second and international TVE channels), but also for commercial purposes. This paper describes the TVE Audiovisual Archive's technical and documentary procedures used for the non-informative archive recovery program.
