Abstract-The use of instant messaging and social networks in the world today is a concept with high esteem. The efforts of many researchers to merge it with various research methods is still a new trend of strong debate. This study will examine the advantages of instant messaging and social networks in online research methodology scenario. With the advent of web-based messaging applications, one now wonder the difficulties researchers face on a daily basis to schedule a one-on-one interview with the potential participants. Instant message apps are surging in popularity across the world as these apps encourage peer-to-peer communications and allow users to exchange instant messages online and through their mobile devices. This study is done using online focus group discussion consisting of five members expressing their views on this novel domain, the important of instant messaging and social networks on research methods as against the traditional one-on-one interview approach for data collection. The results obtained from the focus group discussions highlight the important of the instant messaging and social networks in research methodology as this indicate a new shift and direction in research advancement.
E-Government services adoption rate is rapidly increasingly in the developing and lower-middleincome countries for promoting good governance capability and accountability of public organisations. E-Government services are helping to boost government revenue, very fast and secured transactions, reduce corruption through the use of modern technology and transparent operations. It is imperative to state that the e-Service in an e-Governance domain has been gaining more attention over past two decades. This paper will examine a structured literature review (SLR) of the barriers facing E-Service Technology in developing countries with Nigeria as a case study. In this study, the use of a structured literature review gives rise to reviewing papers from conferences on Google Scholar between 2009 and 2014. A total of 3100 papers were reviewed using content analysis and 68 papers from Google Scholar after careful filtering, classification and analysis met the inclusion criteria for barriers facing E-Service adoption and implementation including the success factors. A model has emerged that captures both the barriers facing E-Service technology and solutions, it has been identified that the public is much aware of E-Services, but the successful adoption and implementation remains a misery due to various barriers.

The rapid diffusion of internet couple with the digitalization of most economies in the world today which have given rise to e-Government services adoption to promote good governance capability and accountability of public organisations. There are still concerns about e-Service security in developing countries as consumers and online users have become the victims of coordinated cybercrimes despite the fact that e-Government services are helping to boost government revenue through very fast transactions, reduce corruption through the use of modern technology and transparent operations. It is imperative to state that the security issues in the E-Service domain have been gaining more attention over past two decades. This paper discusses the general overview through the use of ongoing online survey and literature review of related works in e-Service security as existing approach to combat the issues still has many setbacks. The findings show a deep understanding of what proactive measures need to be taken against e-Service theft in developing countries. A model also emerged that capture the e-Service technology security issues in developing countries and the proactive measures to reduce and eradicate these threats.
This article contends that there are two increasingly important phenomena for organisations: the existence of virtual teams and the realisation that information needs to be protected more effectively. On-line communication methods expose organisations to issues regarding security of their ICT infrastructure, systems and data. At the same time, making possible virtual teams able to be unconstrained in purpose, time or location. While security measures are built into the teams' communication channels and processes, the perceptions, practices and organizational background of team members are equally important to the security of information being exchanged. A socio-technical approach is called for when investigating different perceptions of information security by individual team members, how they negotiate a common understanding for the team and what complexities and practices are introduced in multi-organisation teams. The article sets out issues which may need to be considered and proposes a course of research to increase understanding of the situation.
