In the light of new information, environmental, educational and production conditions, the problem of creating a health-promoting environment in a technical university appears to be rather important and needs to be studied in detail. The research aims to develop, justify and experimentally verify pedagogical conditions for forming competency in health promotion in technical students using physical education. The experiment involved two groups of students (Years 1-4): 241 individuals in the experimental group (EG) and 237 individuals in the control group (CG). Research methods include pedagogical observations, surveys, tests, self-evaluation, expert evaluation of students? practical skills, analysis of personal valeological and sport diaries of students; modelling in the framework of ascertaining and formative stages of the experiment; quantitative analysis of empirical data and its quality presentation; statistical verification of the proposed pedagogical conditions and the research hypothesis, the use of relevant tests (the Ruffier-Dickson index, the Cooper test) and quantitative indicators (Student?s t-test) in order to obtain some objective data on the results from the implementation of the author?s model. At the end of the experiment, most respondents (80 %) in the EG have reached a high level of competency in health promotion using physical education. In the CG, the differences in levels have not shown any significant changes since only 32.5% of respondents have a high level. Therefore, the results of the pedagogical experiment show some positive dynamics and confirm the effectiveness of the designed model and technology for forming competency in health promotion in technical students using physical education, which has made it possible to create qualitatively new conditions of the educational process and enhance students? motivation towards developing and realizing values in this field.
The article examines the impact of military pentathlon classes on the dynamics of the cadets' physical development and functional status in the training process. The research was conducted at the Department of Military Training of the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Ukraine) in 2019-2020. The research involved 18-25 years old cadets (men), who studied at the department in 1-4 semesters. Two groups of cadets were formed: the experimental group (EG, n = 44), the cadets of which were engaged in pentathlon, and the control group (CG, n = 45), the cadets of which were engaged in the existing method of physical training. The research of indicators of the cadets' physical development and functional status was carried out on such indicators as body height, body mass, dynamometry of the hands, heart rate, arterial blood pressure, vital capacity of the lungs and design indices. The research methods included analysis of literature, pedagogical observation, medical and biological methods, and methods of mathematical statistics. The positive effect of military pentathlon on the cadets' physical development and functional status was established. At the end of the research, the EG cadets had significantly better indicators of body mass, vital capacity of the lungs, heart rate at rest, vital index, Robinson index and heart rate recovery time after exercise than the CG cadets. In general, the results suggest that the achieved level of the cadets' physical development and functional status engaged in military pentathlon will in the future improve the efficiency of their professional and service activities.
The optimal combination of professional and personal qualities is extremely significant for professional activities of physical education specialists, who can engage in professional interaction in the field of social communications. The study aims to theoretically justify pedagogical conditions and experimentally verify the model of developing the competency of future physical education specialists in professional interaction in the field of social communications. At the formative stage, the following pedagogical conditions have been implemented: providing higher professional education of future physical education specialists with relevant information support; implementing an optimal combination of traditional and innovative modes of teaching, which assist the student in adapting to real-life conditions. The control group included in 36 individuals and the experimental group 32 individuals. The following methods have been used, namely, the questionnaire, titled “Clarifying Motivation to Achieve the Goal and the Striving for a High Social Status; the tests compiled by the author; the test, titled “Managerial Duties and Employee Relations”; a test for determining the ability to work in the system “man – man” and the test “Evaluating Organization and Communication Skills”. After the pedagogical experiment, 15.28% of CG students and 22.92% of EG students were at a high level of competency in professional interaction in the field of social communications. The results of the pedagogical experiment prove the effectiveness of the determined pedagogical conditions and the suggested model for developing the competency of future physical education specialists in professional interaction in the field of social communications.
The article analyzes the main forms and methods of professional training for future physical education teachers in Switzerland, the USA, Germany, Austria, Norway, and the UK. These countries have been chosen owing to their effective methodical systems. Both original sources and receptive experience of Ukrainian researchers have been taken into account. Therefore, the article aims to select innovative methodical tools that are not widely used in Ukraine. Importantly, the article adheres to a transformational and innovative approach to objectification and prediction of educational changes, as well as to comparative, summarizing and other theoretical methods. Consequently, it has become possible to identify innovative features of professional training for future physical education teachers in the above-mentioned countries and outline potential changes in Ukrainian education after borrowing relevant experience and implementing it within the traditional lecture-seminar system. Furthermore, the article addresses the problem of methodological diversity, as well as the prevalence of axiological approaches over those closely related to physical education and its methods. The international relevance of the article lies in summarizing innovative approaches used in different countries to forms and methods of professional training of future physical education teachers. It will allow one to comprehensively or selectively borrow this experience to improve education in the countries dealing with transformational changes.
teachers of primary school are theoretically substantiated and determined: a) introduction of technologies of heuristic education as the basis of professional-creative teacher training; b) training of the skills of independent designing of the use of heuristic educational dialogue in theoretical preparation and practical activity of the future teachers of primary school; c) a system and detailed diagnostic complex to determine the quality of mastering the future teacher's skills in heuristic learning dialogue at elementary school lessons.
