This paper presents feasibility study of a standalone solar PV System in a remote village. The key to optimum energy output from Solar PV panels is the tilt angle of the PV panels. The Solar panels are most efficient when they are perpendicular to solar irradiations. The Sun's path and altitude vary throughout the year. The focus of this paper is to maximize PV power generation while minimizing the total system cost. Simulation of the system has been done using HOMER. Case study of Sanoder village, Bhavnagar district, Gujarat in India has been undertaken.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
