Three titanium (Ti) compounds bearing 2,6-bis(o-hydroxyalkyl)pyridine ligands were synthesized, and used in vitro cytotoxicity against triplenegative breast cancer (TNBC) MDA-MB-231 cells was studied. The results of in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes against TNBC cells revealed that ( H L Me Ti-O) 4 (IC 50 = 0.91 μM) exerted a significant inhibitory effect on the proliferation of TNBC cells. Thus, titanium alkoxide complexes as nonplatinum complex could be used for structural optimization for treating breast cancer cells in the future.2,6-bis(o-hydroxyalkyl)pyridine ligand, in vitro cytotoxicity, nonplatinum complex, pincer complexes, titanium complex, TNBC cell
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
