Knowledge management process (KM) is the stepping stone of several industries development and supply chain management process because 25% of the industries do not have a direct relationship between the organisational learning and material requirements of the particular product. So, in this paper introduces the knowledge management based analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for gathering the effective supply information. Along with the AHP method, ABC analysis process is used to estimate the critical items while selecting the suppliers. The developed system helps to identify the exact suppliers; critical components involved in the supplier selection process also develop the multi-criteria model for selection of the supplier. At the time of supplier selection process, the method uses the gear box concept which utilises the several knowledgeable information such as the cost of the material, quality of the material, delivery process, consistency of the material and stability. The examined knowledge management (KM) process based supplier selection process improves the performance of the supply chain in the wind industry. In this paper, the wind industry material supplier selection process is discussed as a case study.
