The purpose of this study aims to investigate a causality relationship between Construction Cost Index (CCI) and economic growth, between investment and economic growth, and between human development index and economic growth in North Maluku Province. With the error correction model approach, this study was carried out with the Granger causality method. The findings indicate that the economic growth and the Construction Cost Index affected the value of economic growth significantly. While the value change in the Construction Cost Index is statistically insignificant to affect the value of Economic Growth implying no causality relationship between the variables of Construction Cost Index to economic growth. There is only a one-way relationship, namely economic growth affecting the Construction Cost Index . Economic growth and investment have an association to changes in the value of economic growth significantly affecting the value of Investment. Humans do not have a causality (causal) relationship affecting each other or the Human Development Index (HDI) has no chance of being a dependent variable in the quarter of 2010 to 2019.
This research aims to determine the effect of inflation, per capita income. The method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression models, which are continued by the classical assumption test. This research uses secondary data, precisely ten years of time-series data from 2010-2019 obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, books, literature, the internet, records, and other sources related. The research sample consisted of 40 data taken per quarter, from 2010-2019. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regressions. The results showed that inflation had a negative and insignificant effect on Human Development Index (HDI). In contrast, per capita income and unemployment had a negative and significant effect on Human Development Index (HDI). Inflation, per capita income, and unemployment significantly affected the Human Development Index (HDI) in Ternate City. The independent variable’s determination (R Square) on the dependent variable is 0.836 or 83.6%. It means inflation, per capita income, and unemployment can affect the Human Development Index (HDI) in Ternate City at 83.6%, remaining 16.4% by other factors.
This study aims to determine the one-way causality relationship between foreign investment and economic growth, a one-way causality relationship between economic growth and foreign investment, and a two-way causality relationship between foreign investment and economic growth in Indonesia. This was conducted in Indonesia, the data are secondary data taken using the method time series from 1971 to 2018 from the official websites, the Investment Coordinating Board, and literature sources, Foreign Investment and Gross Domestic Product. (1) in the long run the Economic Growth variable has a significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment, and vice versa; and (2) the Foreign Direct Investment variable has a significant effect on Economic Growth; (3) in the short term, the Economic Growth variable has an influence on Foreign Direct Investment, and vice versa; and the Foreign Direct Investment variable has an influence on Economic Growth. It is possible to have a better long-term relationship, bringing positive impact on economic growth in Indonesia when investment in Indonesia increases. Conversely, when economic growth decreases, it means that foreign investment is also low. Granger Causality test, shows a two-way causality relationship between Economic Growth and Foreign Direct Investment and vice versa. It is necessary to maintain growth to attract foreign direct investment, as well as foreign investment. Investment climate needs to be improved enabling to invest in Indonesia.
