In this article, a simple and effective formulation of microscale deformation using to simplify the analysis of deformation and stress of carbon nanotube‐reinforced polymer composite (CNTRPC) material structures at the microscale is established. Using a numerical computation and a numerical simulation analysis, the effect of stress and deformation of the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and polymer matrix on different distribution mode of CNTs, temperature, or moisture is researched. The changing of the inside and outside surfaces' temperature of the material makes the deformation of polymer material unevenly. This work can provide some help to simplify the analysis of hygrothermal deformation and stress of CNTRPC material at both microscale and macroscale.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
