Chaotic systems are sensitive to certain signals and immune to noise at the same time, the properties of which make it potential application in signal detection and equipment fault diagnosis. In this paper, some Virtual Instruments (VIs) are designed to implement the Duffing oscillator which is used for weak signal detection. The basic design idea of the VIs is presented and the diagrams of some VIs are shown in the paper. At last, some detection results of the simulated signals and the real signals are given. It is shown that to use VI for the detection in the field is advantageous.
The fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor calibration process is critical for optimizing performance. Real-time dynamic calibration is essential to improve the measured accuracy of the sensor. In this paper, we present a dynamic calibration method for FBG sensor temperature measurement, utilizing the online sequential extreme learning machine (OS-ELM). During the measurement process, the calibration model is continuously updated instead of retrained, which can reduce tedious calculations and improve the predictive speed. Polynomial fitting, a back propagation (BP) network, and a radial basis function (RBF) network were compared, and the results showed the dynamic method not only had a better generalization performance but also had a faster learning process. The dynamic calibration enabled the real-time measured data of the FBG sensor to input calibration models as online learning samples continuously, and could solve the insufficient coverage problem of static calibration training samples, so as to improve the long-term stability, accuracy of prediction, and generalization ability of the FBG sensor.
Abstract-Research-oriented teaching can train students' ability of analyze and design and skills of design and development. This paper shows the process of the researchoriented teaching by the demonstration of an experimental case. Literature review and topic selection, theoretical analysis, system design and simulation experiment are included in research-oriented teaching. The evaluation of the researchoriented teaching course uses the whole process evaluation mechanism. It can provide reference for the undergraduate course teaching through the experimental case demonstration.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
