The asymmetric unit of the title salt, C6H16NO+·C10H4ClN4O7
−·0.5H2O, contains two cations, two anions and one water molecule. In one independent anion, one nitro group is rotationally disordered over two orientations in a 0.657 (8):0.343 (8) ratio. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link all the components into ribbons extending along [100].
In the cation of the title hydrated salt, C11H9N4O4
+·Cl−·H2O, the six-membered rings are inclined to each other at 79.0 (1)° and an intramolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds link two cations and two anions into centrosymmetric group, and O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds involving the water molecules further link these groups into chains in [101]. An O—H⋯O interaction is also present. The water molecule is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.555 (13):0.445 (13) ratio
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
