This article describes a systematic approach used to improve efficiency of water shutoff treatments application in JSC Rosneft. The description of the main stages of this approach as well as n tools and techniques used in it is given. The approach proposed consists of three main stages. The first stage -the creation of a rating of waterflooding patterns which require application of water shutoff treatments, the second stage -the selection of optimal technologies for a given reservoir properties, which includes an analysis of previous studies, tracer studies, laboratory testing and modeling of the effects of treatments, third stage -monitoring of the operations and probabilistic estimation of incremental oil recovery.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
