Training and motivation can be maintained and can have an effect on improving employee performance, but in reality the training and motivation of employees is still not able to improve the performance of the employees of the Environment and Forestry Department of Riau Province. This is still a lack of both technical and non-technical training intended for employees who can improve performance and motivation at work. This study aims to determine the effect of training and motivation on improving the performance of employees of the Environment and Forestry Office of Riau Province. This type of quantitative research with a sample of 87 people.The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, validity and reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, linearity test, with multiple linear regression approach using SPSS 19 IBM. The results of the study partially show that there is a positive and significant effect between training on employee performance. There is a positive and significant effect between motivation on employee performance. Simultaneously there is a positive and significant effect between training and motivation on employee performance.
This study aims to identify the potential economic sector in Riau. The data used is the Gross Domestic Product from 2006-2010. The analytical tool used is typology Klassen, location quotient, shift share, and gravity index. The result of typology Klassen, Bengkalis is the advancing area. Siak and Rokan Hilir are advanced but depressed area. Pekanbaru, Kuantan Singingi, Indragiri Hilir, Indragiri Hulu, Pelalawan, Rokan Hulu, and Dumai are the fast growing areas. Kampar and Meranti Islands are the disadvantaged area. The results of the location quotient, mining and quarrying sector are dominant sector in Siak, Bengkalis, Rokan Hilir, and Dumai. The agricultural sector is dominant sector in Kuantan Singingi, Indragiri Hulu, Indragiri Hilir, Pelalawan, Rokan Hulu, and Meranti Islands. Trade is dominant sector in Pekanbaru. The results of the shift share, there are shift in the economic growth of potential sector in Riau. Economic growth had driven by the effects of provincial growth, industrial mix effect, and effect of competitive advantage. Finally, the results of Gravity Index show that Bengkalis, Siak, and Pekanbaru are the center of economic growth in Riau.
This research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru with the aim to determine the effect of entrepreneurial motivation to improve household welfare by empowering Housewives (IRT) as a productive workforce community. The majority of the residents of Limbungan Rumbai with the economic condition of middle-low class families, finding work is increasingly difficult, the need to meet daily needs is increasing. IRT in this region requires motivation in the form of knowledge and skills that can be used as provisions to start a business. The method of analyzing the data of this research is descriptive analysis, which is a research method that describes a situation and event on an actual problem and looks for facts with the correct interpretation as it is, and is not used as a broader conclusion maker. Based on the results of the study it was found that households need entrepreneurial motivation that can provide enlightenment of thought and understanding, especially to the IRT of the potential opportunities for family businesses so that growing interest and motivation in themselves to become entrepreneurs. One company has been paying attention to small business development is PT. Telkom Pekanbaru Branch through its Community Development Centre (CDC) to run the Partnership Program and Community Development (CSR) by providing financial assistance as well as nonfinancial assistance such as training and coaching for small business. However, performance of partners in making repayment of loans granted by the CDC PT. Telkom Pekanbaru Branch is still high. This study aims to determine the effect of training and coaching to small business development in the Community Development Partnership Program (CSR) by the Community Development Centre PT Telkom Pekanbaru Branch. The study population is all of which amounts to 277 people with a sample of 73 people Data from this study are primary data using questionnaires as research instruments. Data analysis techniques that used in this research is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis using SPSS. The result show that training and coaching jointly or individually have a significant influence on the development of small business. Coaching is a variable that has the highest donation or the value of job satisfaction in small business.Keywords: Training, Coaching, Small business development, Community development centre (CDC)
This study was conducted to determine the effect of job satisfaction and workload on the performance of employees of PT. State Savings Bank Syariah Branch Office Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The object of this research is all employees of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Syariah Pekanbaru. The research location was conducted at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Syariah Pekanbaru. The population in this study were employees of PT Bank Tabungan Negara Syariah Pekanbaru. The sample taken in this study were 47 respondents. The sampling technique in this study is the census method technique with data analysis using the SPSS version 20 program using validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression, partial test (t test), simultaneous test (F test), coefficient of determination (R2) . Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis of this study. The results of the study stated that the variables of workload and job satisfaction had a significant effect simultaneously on employee performance. And it can be concluded that the most dominant workload variable affects employee performance. The value of the coefficient of determination (R 2) is 0.876. This means that the variables of job satisfaction and workload simultaneously affect employee performance variables by 87.6%.
